How refreshing to come across a CRM video on a Friday evening just at the start of the weekend! And my city, good old Montreal, is once again highlighted! Gee Whiz, I should really buy tickets. Like in a lottery game, the ball in the blowing abacus will end up falling on the city where I live, right next to Montreal... Anyway, I already have the impression of having won since Charlie , whom we love so much, did me the honor of coming to visit me in person on New Year's Day. How cool is that? He didn't have to do it and that says a lot about the integrity of the Marcelin clan! These weekly videos have only positive things to offer: inspiration, human warmth, entertainment, craftmanship, some secrets of the trade, family values, hard work, women as resplendent as they are independent, music, dancing and inspiring watches! As a white guy up in new jersey, taught Spanish growing up in school, working in both the restaurant and construction industries for my entire work life this video gets me excited. It's amazing how times have changed. Consignment only, raffles, no longer telling people watches are investment... The watch market is dead. Keep up the good spirits, videos and hard work. Like Carlos haircut. Looks more respectable.

To be fair, there are many cyclical industries that are taking a beating right now, not just watches. Regarding consignment, at least as our business is concerned, it is a higher percentage than before, but still only about 25%. Most of our inventory is our own. We're just a lot more careful in making purchases due to the increased market risk. Historically, a lot of models of luxury watches have appreciated, just like other highly desired collectibles. This remains the case despite the drop in prices for the last 2 years. And yes, we are actively using our prize competitions as a hedge in probably the worst economy that any of us will ever know in our lifetimes. I know that this is upsetting some people that just want us to try to make it hoarding a bunch of inventory and trying to sell it, but that is just totally senseless. We will continue doing what we need to do in order to stay afloat, and have a lot of fans who support the move.

@@Soon119 for insurance reasons, we can't ship the watch to a lot of locations. That was one of the reasons that we give the watch in person. We may, at times, decide whether to personally deliver the watch to the winner as well. It is important to note, however, that we're doing this for fans who appreciate the lifestyle part of the experience, not really for people who just want to win a watch and don't care about anything else. So far, every single winner has said that they have enjoyed the experience as much or more than the actual watch. We do understand that when it comes to those who just want to win a watch, this might not be ideal for them. However, our content is the most valuable part of our business. Without it, we're just like any other jewelry store that sells commoditized products. That is why one of the requirements is agreeing to be filmed. If someone doesn't want to be filmed, there's also a cash prize they can opt for. All of these terms are clearly specified on Raffall and participants know what they are before making a decision whether to participate or not.

Even if we were to personally deliver the watch to the winner, we would want to film that as well. If someone is adamant about being recorded, the best option is to either participate for the cash prize option or not to participate. We're not trying to deceive anyone with this competition. We're just specifying terms that are not unreasonable for both sides. We know this is not for everyone. 🤷
