Seeing Montreal with my husband was hockey only. (I wish I could have seen Montreal through your eyes!) So then you may think I should have gone in the summer? ( Does hockey exist in the summer or do you get a break?) Nah, it would not have mattered. We probably would have looked for scuba diving shops, his other love. He never did get to Tobermory. Would there have been yarn shops there, hahaha? I am not a diver so I enjoyed the scenery and peacefulness when he did his thing. I could always knit too! I loved the Rambouillet segment, thanks "other guy"! I love history too. That yarn shop looks amazing but my traveling days are kinda over and my daughter will have nothing to do with knitting other than giving me her "orders" to make items! I love the sheep tee! When I bought his merch it was winter so I have a sweatshirt and jacket! I need that shirt! The e zine is Legacy A Knitwear Collection Mother of Pearl 🍀🍀🍀

I am so sorry to hear about that experience at the first yarn store you visited. I am lucky enough that any LYS I have visited has been amazing! I don’t have room in my life for rude people. I'm sorry for your bad experience at that yarn shop. They missed out is all I can say, although I can say a lot more I won't go that far. It's their loss. Loved the stories from the book. They teach us the wrong history today. I would much rather know the truth not fiction. Oh the garden guns look great Jamie : )

Jaime, I am with you! We always give a person the benefit of the doubt. But poor customer service colors the store in a hue of Don't care, see ya. Christopher, your colors are so inspiring. We have a tree called Bois de arc. The wood is yellow under the bark. Wouldn't it be I threshing to see what color of wool we could get!! Thank you, guys, for all the information and history!!!

The Legacy Collection, A Digital Zine. I LOVE your rambouillet colors! I'm just learning about natural dyes, that's how I found Cabin Boy Knits. I've been making dye baths with things from my yard all summer. Sassafras (yellow, orange, and brown) and Ostrich Fern roots (peachy) are my favorites so far.

Bonjour, I really all your podcast, especially this one. I always learn so much. I was wondering if you could talk about dog's wool... I purchased from a lady in Farnham Québec wool from dogs, mainly Samoyed and bouvier bernois. I am not sure if I should mixed it with sheep wool or knit it on its own. I am also wondering if I could attempt at dying but I have died any wool.... That was as impulsive purchase the lady was so funny

I am so sorry about your experience in the first yarn shop, was it la maison tricotée ? I believe they do not speak much English, but I sure hope their attitude wasn't because you are guys. I've also didn't fell very welcome there, I am a 65 y/o knitter, probably their target customer. The zine was from Mother of Pearl. Blue belle on the outside toilet was hilarious !!!

Re the yarn store owner that was so rude and refused to talk to you--that is their loss if they didn't want your business and/or don't want to promote their store(s). Your fans (and you have a lot of us) will be very reluctant to shop at her shore in the future so she has lost a lot of business. BTW, I love your podcasts and have learned so much about Canada and Canadian history from the "other guy' and natural yarn dying.🙂

It's too bad you were treated so rudely in the one yarn store , but Jamie...gotta say I'm a little sad by you screwing up your nose while saying Cascade and it reminded you of stuff you donated and the yarn in the shop was commercialized. Maybe it was a shop geared to us poor folk. At least you did say...it's good wool, it's good wool to knit with. Otherwise a great fun episode. The e-zine is The Legacy Collection. I really like the Gender Outlaw Bandana also , that colour is pretty also. Isn't the model stunning!
