I really enjoyed that, Jason---brought back a lot of memories. I remember swimming among those wooden strut supports at the Valois Country Club---we never thought about pollution, just somewhere to go to cool I also remember when the old Chateau St. Louis was torn down and we kids used to go and climb around among the pieces. I used to wonder why it was being demolished and no one I knew had the answer. Valois Bay Ave. then had summer cottages from Belmont down to Mt. Pleasant as it was beside the creek, making it waterfront property. I remember the Notman family with daughter Moira from Westmount who came out every summer to their little summer cottage.

Stewart Hall was part of the Golden Age.

The golden age was over once the city purchased the building. During the Golden age, it was there, yes, but served as a private entity.
