My new wife and I just took our honeymoon in Montreal two weeks ago, and I’m now obsessed with the city. We did Mont Royal, Old Montreal, Notre Dame Basilica and stopped for a pastry and coffee at Tommy’s Cafe. Although its chain, we also ate breakfast three times at L’Ouefrier de la Montagne partly because of the food but mostly because the staff were wonderful to us, making our visit incredibly memorable. I can’t encourage people enough to visit Montreal - and if you’re brave, study a little French before you go! I took two years of it, not good enough to be conversant but enough to take a stab here and there AND to appreciate how romantically beautiful both Montreal and Quebec are!! Je me souviens!!

I swear, Montreal has no shop, while the week there is no club open, there is no a gd transport system, in the night, its all dark. There is only 60's, 80's building And its make the city depressed. I forgot also all these street construxtion with no end

I’ve been watching your videos for almost three years now. I found you from Tess’s channel when you guys would go travelling. When visiting Montreal you should really explore the Plateau/Mile End/Mile Ex. So many restaurants, cafes and shops! There's always something going on in the summer. Old Montreal is also really cool to explore especially in the winter time because you can skate. Summer is fun for Osheaga and Murale festival. During the winter there is Igloofest and usually vendors who sell maple syrup over ice that makes a sort of candy. Fall is the best time to see the leaves change colours and its a lil cheaper then summer usually but make sure you bring a coat and sweaters. DON'T come in spring lol all the snow melts and its the worst weather and slush piles and puddles 3 feet deep everywhere. My favourite places in Montreal (mostly downtown/plateau) are Lola Rosa (restaurant), Pikolo (coffee), Humble Lion (coffee), Cresent Street patios (Thursdays or Winnies for happy hour), Mad Hatters (pub), Suwu (brunch), Santropol (cafe), Jeanne Mance (park), MBAM (art museum), McCord Museum (art), Tommy's (coffee), LUV (restaurant), Tattoo Lounge (tattoos) and Eva Bees (clothing store and cafe).

Mont Royal isn't actually a volcano... that's just an urban myth ;)

Some other go to places are Eva B ( such a cool thrift shop) which is located on the corner of st-laurent metro. I've found so many great leather finds. - The Chinese food at Wok café is so yummy. The coolest part is they stay open past bar hours!! So if you need late night Chinese, that's your go to!!! - you can also rent bikes on the side of the sidewalks all over Montreal and take rides along the canal, which is so beautiful during summer! - ☺️ There's also no mention of museums. Most cost money to visit but if you go to the McGill university you can go see the dinosaur/mummies etc at the red path museum for free (donation). - if you're in the mood to see a play you can check out Place Des Art. You have to book tickets online ahead of time, but when I visit new places I usually always love going to see a live show! Just a few extra ideas for those visiting Montreal ☺️
