A treat for my subscribers, a newly restored video tape of another concert of circa 1985.. Featuring Andy Narell on Steel Drums, Michael Manring on Bass, Mike Marshall on Mandolin/guitar, Darol Anger on Violins, and Barbara Higbie on Piano. Shot by Dan Large with single camera/fluid head continuous, no edits.

I am so proud of these musicans as I watch this again today... with my single camera work, I think about MTV and how videos are cut up, etc... these folks were the real deal, this recording if with a better board mix would be album ready, no special efx here.

Unfortunately too rare! I saw them in Italy at the time of Sign Language. They remain one of my favorite bands in their field. Unfortunately in those days it was rare to have cameras and youtube was still to come. W Montreux Band!! :)

wow! thanks for putting this up. got to see them a couple times in the NY area back in the day. this music soared. a category unto themselves. still one of my faves. great job with the video.

I may be able to redigitize this tape... starting with a better codec before the xfer to h264 for KZbin... this may sharpen it up. If I repost, I will put that in content notes.
