I love Montrose as it is where i was brought up ....sadly it looks so run down now .... once upon a time this high st was a lovely bustling place with lots of shops ......

It's so sad in many ways Johnny, local community and economy suffer greatly, grand buildings crumble away neglected...

Lovely town. Best pub is Market Arms. Many empty shops and looking sad. What happened to the prosperous local economy?

So sad to see how run down Montrose has become. Brechin is just as bad. When we lived in Scotland fifty years ago both of the towns were booming

Like most Scottish towns, it's very shabby. There just isn't the money available to make it look less tatty.
