Le 13 juillet 1983, Montserrat Caballé répète en public « Sposa son disprezzata... » (Vivaldi, Bajazet) à Orange.
Elle est interrompue par des passages d'avions militaires qui répètent le défilé du 14 juillet et s'adresse alors au public :
« Je crois qu'ils sont en train de répéter aussi », « J'avais dit : à la pause », « De toutes façons avec la puissance qu'ils ont, il faut bien dire qu'il y a bien peu de remèdes ! ».

She then is interrupted by military airplanes that are rehearsing the parade for the French National Day (the following day). She then says to the audience:
"I think they are also rehearsing", "I told them: during the break!", "Anyway against the power they have, one has to say: there is not much to do!"

L'aria est interrompue par une patrouille aérienne qui se prépare pour le défilé du lendemain, la fête nationale du 14 juillet.
