I'm convinced Earth played more of a role in Eclipses reformation then anyone else. Despite his past, she still fought to be his friend, to support and understand him. I believe the reason Eclipse is no longer looking for power or conquest, and why he's doing things like trying to find who killed these kids, is because of the positive role Earth had with him. When Francis said Earth would be proud of him, it's true, she would be.
