Funny how I was thinking it looks a lot like the Hell Gate bridge. We had a bridge in NYC that looks like this (Goethals) and we replaced it with a cable stay bridge. I agree with the comment that the breakfast looks like a giant waste. I can’t picture closing any NYC bridge for “breakfast” unless it was the Brooklyn Bridge which has a large pedestrian crosswalk area.
