What made life fascinating during dark days of apartheid and TBVC States was the fact that not many black people had serious cash. As a result, the time around Christmas was time of fun and food. We didn't eat rice, salads, meat, scorns and other nice things everyday. We always looked forward to Christmas day and there was music everywhere. As kids we went house to house asking for 'Christmas'. There were no scumbags who poisoned innocent kids. These days, we have money but we are selfish and unhappy.
