Would love to see a walk-through on allowing multiple markers working with rubrics. Either the moodle averages two grades for the same assignement or allows the markers to negotiate the differences in order to come up with a final grade. I understand this is possible, but I don't see how to set it up in any videos on advanced grading.

Hi Jamie, thanks for your question. I do not have any experience with this, but from what I've read, there is no way to do what you are suggesting with Moodle core, or with any plugins. In Moodle, you are allowed to have multiple graders using rubrics, but there is no way to average the grades or have any negotiation -- the last grades entered are the grades that are recorded. One thing you can do is to turn on the marking workflow -- this will enable various "in progress" marking states to be shown as you confer between graders. The other possibility is to use an offline grading sheet for each marker (or a shared sheet) and determine the grade collaboration offline then upload the completed sheet. See docs.moodle.org/401/en/Assignment_settings#Other_settings for explanation of both of these. On the other hand, there is a plugin that allows multiple graders and can calculate a pooled grade, but you cannot use it with Moodle's rubric feature as the plugin is activated as another advanced grading choice. Find the multiple graders plugin here: moodle.org/plugins/gradingform_multigraders

@@edwardbethel51 In my research I read some ideas about using the workshop function - but I need to give it a try.

@@VistasdelMar2008 That could work -- the workshop is designed for peer assessment, but you may be able to customize it for your purposes.

As a teacher you don't see the rubric when you access the assignment, but when you are grading assignments, it will show up to the right of the student's work. If you want to review your rubric, click on your assignment, then click on the cogwheel in the top right, then scroll down and click on "advanced grading". You should see the rubric then.
