I literally prayed for a span of 2 yrs. Diligently that I may see Moody Blues in concert I not only got prayer anwsered Also I had Center seat close near stage thanks to Dan O who invited me and bought tickets for him and I by some person who didnt need them. and I just happened to have papers with me I had never needed and right in front of me sat a person with a nice bag of the Best Canabis and He had no papers. MERICAL on a small scale. However he and I smoked and I was TOTALLY Abundantly BLEST. and will never cease to THANK Jesus for small favors here on earth. 😊❤ JulieKilburnUSA

I fell in love with Moody Blues in the early 70's - a long time ago. And my wife liked Justin Hayward's work when I introduced her to this beautiful piece - she understood more after learning the lyrics!!!

The first time I heard this song, I was in my studio working on a particularly challenging oil painting. I was also struggling with a relationship that I knew in my heart was going nowhere, but couldn't find the strength to walk away from it. This song played and it moved me to tears as I mourned for something I knew I'd never have.

You might think I'm crazy but... English is not my first language; when I first heard this song I thought the lyrics said "I bless the *winds* that bring you...". But I understood most, if not all, of the remaining lyrics. Then I thought, "this song is about someone scattering the ashes of a loved one in the seashore, or in a beach, and remembering this person". Now that I know the real lyrics, they still give me this impression. Truly beautiful song.

What an awesome, beautiful song. I can hear his love for his dear wife Marie. Just a wonderful, special song that makes me feel very special and loved. Justin, your song, your voice, your way of giving love to so many will last forever. You have a heart that goes way beyond this world. I love it and you! Thanks so much for sharing it with me, and everyone who listens to it! Thank you Moody Blues for a lifetime of beauty!

When Justin was doing a solo gig in his hometown of Swindon some years ago, he took the time to explain that his mother would visit the MOD base at Shrivenham nr Swindon to see the wives of service men who’s husbands were serving abroad and he would sometimes go with her, this was during the time when his family lived just outside Shrivenham in the the village of Bourton. Great song too.

if my daughter ever gets married and she wants to have a daddy daughter dance, I'll ask her, can I pick this one . Its not your traditional father daughter song, buts its so beautiful . The two lines I will always be there for you, ill always be near ,, and, there's a part of you that will always be part of me. It does not get more father and daughter than that

Lyrics to enhance your listening pleasure. "Bless The Wings (That Bring You Back)" Like the rose that blooms in the wintertime As it reaches up through the snow The more life keeps apart The more love will grow Like the seed that grows in the darkness As it reaches up to the sun I will always reach out for you 'Cos you are the one I bless the wings that bring you back to me Back across the shore If I could touch you now my darling And love you just once more If I could hold you, hold you, hold you, I know you'd understand, I know you'd understand. As I cross the bridge by the waterfall As I make my way by the stars There's a shadow walking beside me Here in my heart Like the restless wind in the tree tops Like a whispered voice in my ear I will always be there for you I'll always be here I bless the wings that bring you back to me Back across the shore If I could touch you now my darling And love you just once more If I could hold you, hold you, hold you, I know you'd understand, I know you'd understand. In a far off wonderland That flashes past my eyes The kiss of inspiration that was mine The dust of many centuries Has blown across this land But love will not be scattered by the sand Like the sunrise over the mountainside Like the bird that has to be free There's a part of you that will always be Part of me Like the seed that grows in the darkness I will always reach out for you 'Cos you are the one I bless the wings that bring you back to me Back across the shore If I could touch you now my darling And love you just once more If I could hold you, hold you, hold you, I know you'd understand, I know you'd understand, I know you'd understand, I know you'd understand.
