Justin, This song will always remind me of a girl I could have spent a lifetime with. Unfortunately it wasn' t to be, she died in my arms at age 25 from bone cancer. She did the dying, while I had to live on after. I always compared any girl I met to her, and found them wanting. Eventually I got over her and married again. But, this song will always remind me of the wonderful years we spent together, the good times we had, and how young we were. Thank you and the Moody Blues for all the music you ever performed, and ever wrote. You made a big difference in my life.

Justin what’s amazing is your voice seems to have not changed since you started, a blessing for you. I lament Linda Rhonstadt getting Parkinson’s there was no way her career should have ended then. You both came from an era where the musicians worked extremely hard, loved their fans loved their music and when you were very young your managers stole every cent they could from you. Lots of memories thank you.

I do look forward to Tuesday afternoons because my favorite singer of all time, appears on my computer providing us with a lovely story and then presenting us with one of his songs in the Night's tour. I wonder what he will bring to us this Tuesday and each Tuesday, when he announces it, I go "oh I love that song." Well once again, I did it again. It must be Groundhog Day because I heard myself saying "Oh I love that song"with much emphasis on the word "Love." Thank you Justin for making each Tuesday and wonderful Tuesday afternoon.

Oh, this amazing song... Only Justin truly knows what was in his heart and mind in creating it, and the journey it took him on. But yes, I can also relate to it even now, and wonder, as Justin alluded to, what happened and what could have been... I was eighteen when this song came out, and already a die hard Moodies’ fan. “The Other Side of Life” tour was the first one I scrimped and saved for, and would devote weeks of my school summers to “the sound I had to follow” on tours. And I was a latecomer back then! Ah, youth. (Ah, the fifteen dollar general admission tickets, for which you had to strip off your shoes to run for the front of the stage, and then get sunburnt waiting for the concert. Worth it!) This song just makes me feel, and remember, being young for so many reasons. Thank you for it. ♥️

Rock and roll is a young man's game, but Justin wrote this song when he was about 40. Just goes to show how timeless the Moody Blues are.

One would argue that Rock and Roll is an old man's game. On this album Justin and other members of MB were thinking outside the box. One disgruntled member said, "This isn't a Moodies album," and that made me happy. When the album rapidly up the charts that member changed his mind and I was asked to produce two more.
