Holy shit, I have buyers remorse. In the past year I've bought the TC HoF2, Walrus Audio Descent and Walrus Audio Fathom. Those 3 pedals set me back $600 without tax. I also bought the Earthquaker Devices Avalanche Run V2 which is Reverb and Delay, that was bought used at $250. I could have purchased this and the Delay Unit and saved money with more options. The only Mooer effects I heard were the Shimverb and their multi effects systems and they weren't very impressive. This sounds like a Strymon Big Sky and is a lot less money. My problem is when I have GAS I run out and buy shit. I need to do more research and have MOOER self control.

Count me in as Brett having been my KZbin salesperson on many occasions. Despite my "NO SOLICITORS" sign, he assures me he'll just be a minute, dumps a canister of dirt on my carpet, and then brings in the next greatest vacuum I've ever seen. It cleans like no other whilst making the most beautiful noise. He then schools me on all the features before accepting payment on his way out the door. I've been watching for years now. Thank you Brett; you're always welcome in my home!

Thanks for the great demo. My problem with these wonderful sounding pedals is when they come with stomp buttons that make a huge clicking sound when pressed. Terrible disturbance during quiet ambient moments. Specially so with EHX pedals. This is why i tend to stick with Boss. Does this one have that problem too? Please let me know, as I can only purchase these gadgets online without testing first hand
@her0de846 жыл бұрын
Rahju, no they do not have a click sound. Play mode you can turn the "one of the 3" effects off..BUT in patch mode there is no on or off...so I use a loop box to take it in and out of my pedal chain..only for patch mode..cheers

I've had this machine for a while now and initially I was happy with it, however after listening to some of the other units both reverb and delay, I am considering going back to individual inits such as the strymon DIG for delays...I am stuck for reverbs though, what would you recommend to check out Bill for a decent reverb machine? the reverb on the ocean just doesn't sound good to me.
@theokingshango5 жыл бұрын
If money then: Strymon Big Sky or Crazy tube circuits Splash stereo. But seems like this Mooer packs double features for third of a price. I wonder if the sonic diference is so big?
@alansturgess13245 жыл бұрын
The 'Quick Start Guide' for this pedal is a joke - a few diagrams and a few instructions. No troubleshooting information and - unlike EHX - no suggested starter settings to help you begin experimenting. This upload is superb because you hear lots of interesting sounds and the uploader puts all the settings on-screen. That all starts at 0.32. Essential watching if you're new to the 'Ocean Machine'. kzbin.info/www/bejne/h6nWlnqMa6aZisk

Think of it as 2 delays & one reverb with 4 knobs each. Easy start, then a looper. A simple option is, click the right button & go through the presets.

It's way more intuitive than you might think. Way easier than more expensive multi function delays. It's also surprisingly small. I think Mooer killed it with this. They continue to surprise me. The only downside is the digital "true" delay isn't crystal clear, but I don't mind that at all as I prefer the analog, echo type sounds.

I really like the Ocean Machine. One thing that bothers me though it that it is -obviously- built on stolen copyrights. And now we’re buying it back, hurting the original inventors that were stupid (greedy, forced...!?) enough to produce in China, where their ideas were stolen and made into this cheap little box. Perfectly (and quite ugly, but wth) I have to add. Anyway, who am I to lecture, I bought it too for the fourth of the price of two great delays and a reverb.
@theokingshango5 жыл бұрын
We are not buying it back, we are buying it cheap or more affordable. We hurt inventors in a sense that they wont get so stinkin rich as hey could have...
