Mooi Volendam: Visserij, Paling roken, Palingsound, een goudschat en meer...(4k)

Deze keer zijn we in Volendam! Dorp van de visserij, de paling en de palingsound, oude tradities en het IJsselmeer. We bezoeken de palingrokerij van Jan Smit (nee, niet díe maar die andere), het Volendams museum met het sigarenbandjeshuisje en we leren over de geschiedenis van de Volendamse visserij. Wat is een botter, hoe hielden ze de vis vers op die botters en hoe zat het nou met het goud van de Lutine? Hoe komt het toch dat er zo veel zangers en bandjes wortels hebben in Volendam? Harmen Veerman van de band Left Side heeft daar wel een theorie over. En natuurlijk laten we zoals zoveel toeristen én bekende Nederlanders een foto maken in Volendamse klederdracht. Kijk met ons mee in Volendam!
This time we are in Volendam! Village of fishing, the eel and the ‘eel music’, old traditions and the IJsselmeer. We visit the eel smokehouse of Jan Smit, the Volendam museum with the cigar band house and we learn about the history of the Volendam fishing industry. What is a botter, how did they keep the fish fresh on those botters and what was the deal with the gold of the Lutine? How come so many singers and bands have roots in Volendam? Harmen Veerman of the band Left Side has a theory about that. And of course, like so many tourists and famous Dutch people, we have our picture taken in Volendam costume. Come with us to Volendam!
