I have a bit of a theory that revolves around why Nexus was not able to do anything to Moon, I believe what allows Nexus to control others with dark star power is negative emotions like hatred or fear. Emotions that Moon at that moment was not feeling, in a way similar to the Escanor and Estarossa confrontation.

Not so fun fact: Nexus means “a connection or series of connections linking two or more things”, theoretically speaking, when he was ‘New Moon’ and Solar died.. their linked connection, or- their ‘nexus’ broke. I was wondering why Dark Sun let him go, then I saw a conversation between Moon and Nexus (I loved watching Nexus just standing there with his forehead and not being able to say anything, and I'm glad Moon is okay) They started talking about Taurus and I was like, "Damn, Dark Sun, you're such a genius, you just gave him up to be eaten by Taurus." I feel sorry for Ruin, now he's the only one left with Dark Sun😔
