Super accurate! This is probably the best explanation of moon in Leo that I've ever seen. As someone with a moon in Leo, I can confirm that, in my experience, my emotions definitely took a back seat to my mother's. I've also found that there hasn't been a lot of people in my life that seem to want to get to know me at a deep level.

Wow very interesting because my experience is the same. My mom is a Leo too so I felt like I had to suppress a lot of myself in order for my mom to feel heard and seen, at my expense in a lot of ways. And same with other people, it’s hard to find people who want to connect at such a vulnerable, spiritual, and deep level.

That is incredible how perfectly you describe the way I deal with my emotions. I always felt like no one could meet my emotional needs as a kid and so I would rather be alone and process my emotions on my own. I sort of became my own therapist to meet my needs since I never felt like it could be reciprocated. And because other people would use me to handle their emotions, leaving me feeling unheard and unseen.

💯🌟💯🌟You described this VERY accurately ESPECIALLY the part about learning how to cope by entertaining myself and pouring joy and energy into myself and being very caught up in how I am expressing myself authentically for my own sense of satisfaction rather than paying attention to what and how everybody else is wanting things to be done around me, AND not being able to manipulate my own self and emotional needs in order to meet other people's expectations...... ultimately I feel like I have always been my own favorite company besides my mom who I'm very close to as well, and my favorite thing is the mirror 🪞, music 🎶🎶🎶 and learning more about myself 😇 and pouring time, love and care into who I am and what makes ME happy😊... when I'm out and in public I just like to show my best self and be an example of what it means to truly care for oneself and have self esteem. Also I LOVE to party and turn up, live good, eat good and have lots of pleasure with the people and places that reflect my vibe and appreciates the kind of energy I bring and what is important to me personally 🔥👑🥰. My moon is also in the first house and conjunct with venus.

interesting and accurate take. it is certainly true that my own emotional stability was left to my own devices, which is really unfair for a child to have to do for obvious reasons. with a scorpio jupiter square no less 😹 while it wasnt fair for me to have to do that on my own, i did learn how to eventually in early adult hood and gained a robust knowledge of such things as a result of doing the work

I’m a Scorpio sun and both Leo rising and moon. The way you described a Leo moon placement paired with a more socially “subdued” sun like Scorpio really spoke to me 😂definitely not a naturally extroverted person unless I feel really comfortable. And I have heard from many people that I’m “too emotional” or feel things too deeply, so I’ve definitely learned how to be my own best friend when I’m feeling low or intense!. Very interesting

I’m also a Scorpio Sun Leo Moon & Leo Rising. I also feel like people don’t actually want to get to know me to the core. I have been called too sensitive and so I spend a lot of my time alone. I’m very social because of work but you can always catch me with an ear bud in…I am warm and friendly but also can’t wait to just rush home after work to refuel myself.

As a Taurus moon, I think this is fascinating. I’m glad that you pointed out that Leo can be extraverted without necessarily being social (would you say that distinction is general true when looking at all the fire and air signs btw?). One word that I think of when I think of when I think of Leo is pride. Pride can be strong in a very quiet and dignified way, sometimes only speaking out when it feels it needs to. I can see how this plays out in the square between Taurus and Leo. Taurus is so grounded that they kind of just exist. We’re kind of wise in our simplicity. We’re perfectly content so long as people don’t get in our space and mess with our life in a obvious way. However, it’s cool to see that Leo’s pride comes from a capacity to have such a deep sense of self-awareness. They’re aware of their dignity as a living, breathing human being. I think that’s incredibly beautiful!

This is so interesting! I have a bunch of leo moons around me. My best friend and her sister are complete opposites: one is so loud about her emotions (aries sun/leo rising/leo moon), but my friend is so quiet about her emotions (leo sun and moon, but both in 4th house). I've been studying a lot about leo moons and this video was spot on! I'm dying for you video on the scorpio moon (my moon sign) :)

This resonates so much, I find it interesting that my brother and I are both Leo Moons and our mum is definitely very expressive in her emotions.. not always in a good way (Aries rising, scorpio moon - intense emotions)! My brother and I are opposite, not expressive with our emotions as a result I believe of not having the space to do so

Yes, the Sun placement is critical to understanding this dynamic. Your description was excellent. I have a Leo Moon, with a Virgo Sun, so a lifetime focused on serving others. The example of a self-focused mother (her Moon in Scorpio) and my position as eldest in a large family, disposed me to become sensitive and responsive to others. I also have a tight balsamic conjunction of Venus to Saturn in Libra. The stouthearted, courageous element of Leo comes in here too, contributing to self-containment. It did take a Near Death Experience at 30 to break open my ability to grow vulnerable. I found that needing to focus on others' emotional lability contributed to my own ability to regulate myself. The missing element was giving myself permission to need, without first tending to others. I am surrounded by Scorpio moons in my family, and a Taurus here and there. In my experience, fixed moons tend to be good at self-regulation of emotions, with the water element being the exception, particularly if Mars is in Cancer directing that Scorpio Moon. Also, there are many configurations in the chart that affect the ability to be vulnerable in relationships. It's important not to isolate one factor when interpreting a chart. Thank you for the care you took explaining this Moon.
