Moon Knight - FIRST IMPRESSIONS!

I’ve played a few games with Moon Knight against people in person, and he’s by far my favorite out of the new box, possibly overall too. I love how you have to think about when you want to play his cards, especially “That’s The Part That I Like” since you love to pull off both of those discards.

I've played moon knight a decent amount (about 10-15 games) and he is probably one of my favorite characters in the game he is super interesting and I like that his cards are pretty simple and kinda underwhelming on the surface but are actually really strong and complex when combined with his ability and other cards. Also I feel like he'll end up being pretty strong against most characters with vary few terrible matchups on either side so a good versatile pick but not a great counter to anyone

This hero is so hard to put some theory on. Looks like he has a lot of combo potential and is good at almost everything... But is he good enough? Only game will show. Oh, and this is 3d hero who has +2 to his attacks almost unconditionally shows that we must just kinda forget about cancelling King Arthur's boost. We are not playing against the rules, we just forgot, you know

I'm trully excited by all of these new characters. I can't wait to try them :). Moonknight looks very fun to play with. I'm not sure it's so funny to play against though. The arts are awesome !

He’s going to play a lot like Little Red, but I’m Not Real is his only “reset” instead of baskets so it will be his most important card.

It's not super important but it's worth noting that "that's the part I like" puts your opponent closer to exhaustion since it take a card from there deck

This guy feels like he will be the one to watch from the set. Luke is probably the most Solid deck overall, but he has clear weaknesses to overcome. Ghost Rider is A Lot to consider but at the end of the day he crumples under pressure (his bulk feels like an illusion the more I look at him). Moon Knight though, he could be anything at any time. Sometimes he’s like Achilles with Khonshu, sometimes he’s like small Alice with Mr. Knight, and sometimes he can close the distance without needing to boost as Moon Knight. And how he operates in each game will inevitably be a little different each time. I’m not sure if he will be Meta or not but if Little Red is anything to go by, characters like these are very rewarding in the long run.

I bought Redemption Row as soon as I could and Moon Knight immediately became my favorite. He has very few bad matchups, and I love that the opponent really has no idea what is about to be played. He can play most of his deck at any given moment. A thing I do think is super cool is that one fairly decent counter to Moon Knight is Bruce Lee due to Moon Knights' lack of card effect movement. If you don't have a feint in hand, then the Jeets get nasty very quickly.

TIming is a real issue, but it's a really fun character to play against mid and mid-high tier. He does burn through the deck fairly quickly, It's almost worth keeping your hand lowish.

I appreciate your content. I’ve been binging you all week. I like being able to see all the cards moved like this, but until someone is intimately familiar with the cards, you hovering for less than 2 seconds isn’t helpful. I miss being able to have the card remain on screen while you talk about it.

I think we can all agrede that Im Not Real is best used as second action Khonshu. Yeah, pretty obvious to use your big attack with your attack identity but basically skipping the turn where you have to be small during your attacks is really, really nice. Also the opponent probably wants to attack Khonshu twice if possible, so switching right before they could is just nasty. On first action Moonknight it may be alright as well, especially if you combo into a second Im Not Real but that just wastes half of your turn as Khonshu and two copies of that card at once. I also believe attacking Khonshu is better than attacking Moonknight for the opponent, because if you end your turn next to Moonknight, he just hits back as Khonshu and tears you to shreds.

I think you have the transformations confused he switches at the end of his turn so if you end your turn next to Khonshu you will probably get double attacked so you want to attack moon knight not Khonshu if you can help it

I love how flexible MK is, and how all of his cards basically have 2-3 uses. I’m Not Real can be used to surprise your opponent, and with 3 copies, being able to throw them off multiple times a game is amazing.

Like flome games said, I think you’re got when he switches wrong. He always switches at the end of his turn, not the start, so the opponent won’t get to attack Khonshu twice after your Khonshu turn because you turn into Mr. Knight right after. Same thing with ending next to Moon Knight, he’s still going to be Moon Knight when the turn passes back to him, so Khonshu is the scary one to attack since he gets his big turn right after your turn.

I was not trying to downplay the war in Ukraine at all! I was referring to how the Marvel sets were supposed to be manufactured and shipped around last summer, and due to some of the side effects of the coronavirus pandemic (shipping container costs rising, the Suez canal being blocked, etc) they are just arriving in consumers' hands now. I understand that the war in your country is also currently affecting the international market, so I apologize for leaving that out or downplaying the relevance. I have been following the news stories about it and trying to stay informed, and am really sorry I came off as ignorant.
