Yes! Mark Spector is really who the original person is, but as a child Mark created Steven Grant in his mind and so they both take over and control the body from time to time. I am no expert in Dissociative identity disorder (DID), so take what I say with a grain of salt haha. That's just how the show presents Mark and Steven (and one more person, if you watch until the end of the video).
