They most likely mixed up the soundtracks and got a remixed version of Suite Precure destined to be given to Go Princess Precure. While Go Princess ended up with a soundtrack that sounded like the original Japanese soundtrack for Sailor Moon. There is a KZbin video out there with the crystal transformation with go princess transformation soundtrack

I disagree, they are even less unique than 90s ost. You only get a fake orchestra and fake choir made with FL studio for Crystal while 90s tracks are very unique. Like just compare "Hoshizora ha Mysterious" to "Dream comes true"

I had to shorten the overall transformation to fit the length of the song, and move the sound effects around to match haha

I think if the original Moon Prism Power music (the bg audio in this one) was remixed to modern times and put on this show instead of the new crappy music this show would have kept its ratings despite the sickly anorexic character designs.

Seriously... I can't believe this! Toei made terrible music just because someone thought that this is "not so good murica", just like what happened to the Pretty Cure series from the 6th to the 9th series! If Toei choosed Takayuki Negishi (music arranger of Tokyo Mew Mew and Cardcaptor Sakura) as new composer, the music wouldn't sound so bad! Yasuharu Takanashi made a good work withthe Pretty Cure franchise. But his composition simply doesn't fit the transformation and fight scenes so much. In some cases, the music matches perfectly with the intensity of the scene and it's easy to hear in the background.

While i love sm 90's, the music doesnt fit crystal. For crystal animation, modern remix of the transformation would fit, but the original theme makes crystal transformation weird.

MamoruMe The fact that Sailor Moon has already had an animation back in the 90's, it wouldn't be anything new when Crystal was brought from pages to a moving picture. Plus, the original didn't follow the manga very well and was bombarded with fillers, where Crystal was straight to the point and follows the manga exactly. You didn't expect them to practically remake the 90's anime, did you?

Yoko Yakamori yeah but like that filler gave the show some weight, gave the characters room to breathe and develop, let the sense of humour and personality sit at the forefront. SMC lacks personality/humour. the space between the senshi being introduced made it a big deal when it happened. i know the filler got to be too much but i maintain that the way the original anime plotted it out made the ridiculousness of the story less obvious, where in smc all the plot is crammed together and at times reveals that the foundation of the story is silly.
