u are wrong most operan singer much powerful than 3 octave's Tarja voice... If you think something like Poet and the Pendulum or something very new like Perfume of the Timeless wouldnt sound good with a heavy operatic vocals, id say absolutely foolish. Look at all the collaborations Tarja has done. She has A LOT of range and vocal types she can tap into, she simply has a preference.

I understand why Tarja has so many fans. I like her too. But for me, her sound is not what I prefer. Floor's sound just kills it for me. Hands down, 100%. Tarja is simply too operatic for my ears. Doesn't mean she's not talented. But in most cases, I can't listen to the two of them singing the same songs. I think Stargazer is good for Tarja?

Tarja can sing only operatic style,her singing is just limited,that is why her voice doesn't suit well when she tried to cover songs such as Nothing Else Matters,The Unforgiven,Poison,Still Of The Night,she lacks that deepest voice from low to mid range,so unfortunately struggles.I don't like the approach she tries at lower,doesn't fit well. From the other side,Floor has a voice that can sing more stuff, not only operatic and that is the difference why most NW fans like her. The drummer of the band sucks,she must find a better replacement in the lever of Mike Terrana.Also set list is too limited,only 14-15 songs with encore.

Eu não sei exatamente como se deu o contrato no momento da dissolução (demissão) e nem quais e quantas ela pode cantar. Geralmente toca umas 2 durante os shows - não que ela precise, a carreira solo dela é fenomenal e cheia de músicas icônicas. Hoje, inclusive, eu gosto mais dos álbuns dela do que os do Nightwish (Todos os álbuns com a Floor - e não estou dizendo que são ruins ou que a cantora é melhor/pior).

It was a different singer there - so it is not possible to compare the performance. Tarja's last concert with the former band was 21st of October 2005. But anyway, I think that this is a very good version. Tarja is currently going strong and her former band is right now struggling with their own issues, a little behind. But it's not a race and I hope they are both having fun.

@@rob2039 Yes, Marko tried to write something earlier but he apparently did not continue it in NW. "Asked if he was involved in the songwriting process for NW's new full-length album, "Endless Forms Most Beautiful", Marco responded: "I did have something to do with it. There are quite a few songs where there's some music from me. This time even a few lyrical lines also." As a real pro, I'm sure Marko had a heavy influence in everything (at least proof listening the final mixing of the albums from the vocals part). But anyway, I hope Tuomas is having a blast and Marko too. And who knows, maybe something "little" and super nice is happening in the private life sector for Tuomas. :-)
