@Bricky, it feels like I'm watching you talk about Duelyst. -2 generals with 25 hp on a board -support units -a game that's nearly dead, but has a dedicated core community Moonbreaker suffers from the same problems as Duelyst, in that the game aims for a niche so small, it has very little chance to attract a larger audience despite being an amazing game. Keep doing what you do and I hope it works.

I wonder if there are any plans to add single player content. It looks like they could do small campaigns based around each of the captains, but even a skirmish mode vs AI would be really nice to get your feet wet before going against other players.
@Salt_Titan Жыл бұрын
There is a skirmish vs AI mode and a roguelike mode called Cargo Run in the game now. The next update (currently tentatively planned for August) will have a more robust single-player mode
@charliecleveland9053 Жыл бұрын
YES! Single-player is the highest priority right now. Working on it non-stop. (we do have skirmish vs. AI as well as a replayable roguelike "cargo run" mode in the game currently, but we're adding more)
@victordesena9763 Жыл бұрын
@@charliecleveland9053 have you figured out a way to fix the problems when you first tried to do a single-player mode? From what I recall that was what Cargo Run originally was but it couldn't fit with a story narrative from what I heard.

Hey Bricky, I am also a streamer who FINALLY got around to playing Moonbreaker after I had a few of my own viewers begging me to try it, and I went through the exact same rollercoaster of excitement when I was just playing through the tutorial! xD Thanks for bringing even more attention to this incredible title and I can't wait to keep enjoying Moonbreaker alongside you.

Been waiting for a major marketing push to get this game since the player pool was so damn small, pretty sure this will do it. Buying it right now

Thank you briky for finally getting me to bite the bullet and get the game! My friend (a huge brandon sanderson fan) was telling of this since before the release and it sounded cool but had yet to jump off due to concerns over playerbase and updates, and ashamedly forgetting about it for a while. You mentioning it in the AAA video reminded me of this gem, and now i am convinced to pikc it up, even if it only makes me the 11th active player! ;)

Thanks for covering this game! I remember being super excited when I saw the trailer, got nervous about the cost of entry plus the micro-transactions at early access launch. Meant to read up on it later and it dropped out of sight. With you covering the way the game plays, I'm definitely jumping in when I can afford a new game.

Alright, Bricky, I'm sold! This game looks insanely good and I only hope your video raises that viewer count. More unique games like this need to be in the spotlight!

Thank you Bricky, you have no idea for how long I've been searching a game that more or less simulated a war game in videogame format. Probably gonna buy it when it goes on sale since 30$ is a bit much for me.

I'm glad this game is coming along well, I remember hearing about it because of day9 and going to check the steam reviews. I think they were Mixed at one point, now they are Very Positive. Looking at some negative reviews, they are from 2022 and still mention things that have since been changed like the lack of gamemodes. I really really want to check it out, but I have to stick to my guns about Early Access titles. I will 100% be one of the people who buy the game once it is finished. I hope lots of people do too and it explodes in popularity then because it deserves it.

The comment section just makes me so happy. You've got devs and composers just thanking bricky for making a video he was not obligated to make for a game that he has no real stake in other than he just wants more people to acknowledge and enjoy it. One of the most hidden and wholesome internet moments of all times

Tragic to say that Bricky didn't manage to save this game in the long term- 5 months later it's back to about 5 players online at a time. I think they're just asking too much money for a game that's both niche in appeal and still in early access- it's TWICE the price of the game he would cover after it, Mechabellum. For that price, and with such a small community already, I wouldn't be willing to try it either.
@dektarey402410 ай бұрын
Multiplayer games like this cant survive on a pay to play basis. Its too niche for a pricetag. They should have gone the heartstone route and decide on a f2p structure.

I will attest that when I had the Battleball board game, I moved the miniatures in that same exact way. The speedy girl just zoomed, the big quarterback lumbered and stomped, etc.

Gets excited to see Bricky make a vid on this game. checks the steam charts and get depressed cause it didn't cause a boom in people playing.
@elementgermanium7 ай бұрын
No, it definitely did. Peaked at 365 players within days of the video’s release. But like Bricky said, the game doesn’t get a lot of coverage, and a single video’s effect is going to wear off pretty quickly.

One of their games that is also forgotten and still good after 10 years is natural selection 2, wich is honestly one of the best shooter experiences i've had. It combines elements from RTS and shooter to make the game appeal to a wide audience.

This is an absolute dream. It's a real shame it may not reach success because wow, just the miniatures collecting and painting alone is 100% worth it. The game it comes with is amazing. I made an extremely similar table top 1v1 game back in the day using heroclix figures and seeing it become a video game is dope af.
