If you looked at the whole performance/choreo, it's about her being the innocent girl (green outfit) trying to get people (cheese) to like her (be in her trap), and in the middle of the song (verse 2), she watched a video by Professor Moonbyul, teaching her how to catch cheese in her trap. She then transformed into Rocker Moonbyul, and at the end of the choreo, she got all the girls (the female dancers ditched the male dancers, literally pushed them away, and they all crowded around her). 🤣🤣😁

@@WatchwithSandee Thanks for the reply!! 🤣🤣 Another cute detail (personal opinion 🤣) was that her mushow performance outfits followed this flow as well, starting from the green outfit through to the Rocker Byul outfit. It was at the end of 1st week that she extended the promotion to 2 weeks (initially only 1 week promo), where she varied her outfits after. 🤣😁 also, edit to add: The flow of the innocent to getting all the girls is more noticeable in the performance choreo where you see the girls push the guys away and surround themselves around Byul (And at the end, you'll notice the guys pairing up instead. 🤣)

Pretty sure that she really was going for the 'cheesy' thing, just for the fun of it. My very favorite release of hers is still Eclipse (I am attracted to darkness) but it is nice to run across people who are capable of laughing at themselves without a problem. My tastes are very eclectic so I really love all of the members of Mamamoo for their ability to do anything, just like DreamCatcher can do anything. This was FUN, FUNNY and ADORABLE. Moon Byul-yi does not deserve to be stuck into any one box, one genre', so saying that this was not mature enough for her is not quite fair. She is capable of pulling it off, she did it, she did it her own way and it turned out great and funny. She is an all-around artist and should be free to make whatever art comes to mind for her. Lately, she has really been popping off and I LOVE THAT for her. :)

I agree that the high teen concept is not one I normally like. She is both doing it and making fun of it but it's certainly not a favorite. I had managed to miss the bit at the end where the female dancers shove the male dancers away so that was a great touch.

There are many sides to Moonbyul :) I think she really rocked this style. Maybe look at her singing Congratulations? Didn't have the cute girl feel, but still had the punk rock feel.

The pop-punk sound was a trend earlier in the year in K-Pop and it seems like CITT was Moonbyul's take on it. There's actually a small teaser for it at the end of the Lunatic MV! The door she opens in the very end is mouse sized. 👀 Sonically I'm okay with CITT because I didn't partake too much of the early 00's pop-punk era so I don't have any real opinion of it. I was into alt rock and nu metal during that time. 🥰 I was actually tickled by CITT because around the same time Dreamcatcher's Dami had a solo song, Beauty Full, that is very similar to this. I never expected my favorite main rappers to put out Disney Channel sounding songs but I'm not mad at it either.

@@WatchwithSandee For Dreamcatcher's 2nd full album all the members have a solo song and Dami's song is pop-punk. She wrote the song AND worked on the composing & arranging. 🥺

This rock infused pop sound has been pretty popular this year actually, so it was also possibly a trend thing they were getting in on. Lunatic is still my fav moonbyul solo but this grew on me after a few listens. I get it feeling a little juvenile for her though. But billlie did a similar ish rock related sound in their song, ring ma bell, dreamcatcher is always rock infused, though their tts this year were a lil harder than this, vision especially, Rolling Quartz had a recent release somewhat similar to this rock/pop/punk sound, as well as their harder rock album earlier in the year. gidle did a song called tomboy this year that was pretty rock inspired which was a huge hit in the industry as a whole. (theres bunches of others I'm sure I'm missing but these were the ones off the top of my head that I liked personally). moonbyul did an episode of weekly idol for this era, a variety show of sorts, with purple kiss that was pretty cute. it's subbed on KZbin if that interests you at some point. wheein I think is supposed to have another solo release early 2023, hwasa has her own.. talk show thing? I think is what it is. and solar just ... is busy as solar is lol. plus they're doing a world tour in 2023. ✌️

Ooo I see! Kpop tends to follow musical trends and I guess I missed out on nothing the rock inspiration everywhere. I've heard of Tomboy by G-idle but haven't heard it yet+

@@WatchwithSandee idle has really been hitting it out of the park this year with the releases. Tomboy and Nxde have been excellent, if not sonically (which obv song sounds aren't always for everyone, personally idle has been very hit or miss for me over the years sound wise) but they've been going very women empowerment this year. meaning wise, excellent. even just as personal listens, highly recommend them, nxde especially. also, there's honestly so much stuff released and girl groups have been really doing a lot of heavy lifting this year (not to say bgs are bad or less than, there have been some great releases from them too this year, just.. ggs have been hitting different), trying to keep up with all the trends (that seem to change constantly and often there 2 or 3 going on at one time) and releases is a monumental task for anyone lol, never mind people who don't follow ggs as closely as ppl like me xD
