Thanks and congratulations! I truly believe that Mooncool did a fantastic job on making that trike. It’s a great ride and soooo smooth. Ride safe and enjoy!

The leaning forward works I have a front hub trike, so it is natural to put pressure there to keep from spinning.

Ha ha that's so funny to see you filming at Discovery park because I have a home made e trike and I am always there and filming too. My daily summer time includes at least 2 trips there. I love going full speed down the dirt road by the loop at the end. I ride crazy and tear up that park and my trike goes about 30 . Some extra cool things about a trike people dont think about are if your pit bull goes on the run the dog and trike have a very similar top speed and you can pull up next to them and grab them with do problem at all. Really it works so good its like it was made just for that. Mines not a drift but i designed it so I sit more in the trike than on the trike. I never fee like I'm going to tip and the only accidents Ive had were the back wheels running over my legs when putting them down for extra braking.

Mooncool could make bank offering that hub as a kit for Schwinn meridian trikes.

Good review, thank you. I did notice what appears to be the same shipping damage issue the Lectric XP is famous for on this TK1 on the left rear fender, tail light area. Saw this also on another TK1 review. Been there, done that with Lectric XP. The thought of purchasing a TK1 and going through shipping damage again is not what I care to do right now. Other than that I think the trike is a winner but wish they had added a parking brake, that's surprising. Thanx again for the great review...

Now older folks who could not get a regular e bike due to balance issues, can get into e biking. Others brands are out there as well.

I never get my one question answered: Can you still use the bike on pedal mode if the battery goes out and if so, how hard is it to pedal? But I don't think this question will be answered based on the fact that other questions here have not been answered either.
@EbikeProducts8 ай бұрын
Sorry about the unanswered questions, I hope to have more time in the future to stay on top of things one day. Yes, you can still pedal the trike if the battery goes out. It's heavy, but not too difficult as long as you're not going uphill. On flat ground its pretty easy to move the trike, but hills will definitely get you tired.

Thank you! I just bought one of these last week. I have questions about recharging the battery and I couldn't find the answers on the Mooncool site. When recharging, does the battery have to totally dead first? I am disabled and don't want to get stranded somewhere because the battery died. Can you recharge on one bar, or will that wreck the battery? Thanks!
@EbikeProducts7 ай бұрын
Great questions. First off, try never ever to let the battery run all the way down, that will ruin the cells. These batteries don’t have memory issues like the old nickel cadmium rechargeable batteries. Running them all the way dead now is really bad for today’s ebike batteries. Keep them out of extreme heat and extreme cold as well. If you don’t plan to ride for a few days, store the battery at around 50% charged. Don’t store them fully charged for long periods of time, that too hurts the longevity of the cells. When charging the battery, it’s best to take it off the charger when it finishes and turns green. You can leave it for an extra hour or two, but it shouldn’t be on there a long time more after that. Congrats on your new mooncool! It’s really one of the best trikes out there.

The only thing I can add about riding trikes is to keep your feet on the pedals so you don't run over your leg .

Do you think you would be possible to put a 20x3 inch tire on the xp trike
@EbikeProducts Жыл бұрын
Sorry. I’m not sure about that. The fork may be too small. If you call Lectric’s support line, they should be able to answer that question you.

How does it compare to the xp trike
@EbikeProducts Жыл бұрын
The Lectric has more power, but the mooncool at 500watts is no slouch. If you have a lot of hills. The Lectric may do a little better. The mooncool’s ride is a lot smoother and softer due to the wider 3” fat tires AND suspension on the fork.
@pedrofernandez8729 Жыл бұрын
They hid all the cables and wires in the frame, except for one. I wonder why?
@MHH3180 Жыл бұрын
While it is more comparable to The Lectric Trike with the semi-mid-drive, without multiple gears, it is just hard on drive trains. If it had multiple gears it would out climb just about any other trike. Because those turn signals are not DOT approved, do not count on them! Yes, they are better than not having them, but if you have a crash while using them, the person who would be at fault will get away if you do not also use a hand signal. BTW, It should be fine for flat surfaces and limited headwinds. Trikes turn like a ship. Lean away from the turn. A bike turns like a speed boat. Lean in to the turn.

@@MHH3180No, not their MC350, their TK1 fat tire: it is a front hub, but same power and more torque. Lack of gears on the folding TK1 is a deal-breaker for me
@MHH3180 Жыл бұрын
@@andrevanderwalt69 uses, a hub drive junk. Power means almost nothing on a mid-drive, only torque. I have a 250 in my shop right now that will out climb any legal hub drive bar nothing. Torque is not accessible under load on a hub drive. Something with 1k watts and 85nm's of torque quickly drops to 250w and like 15nm's real quicked when loaded or going up a hill.

@@MHH3180Thanks, I know nothing about the technicalities of these motors. So you think the foldable TK1, even with no gears, is better than the hub TK1? It's just that it seems one is ghost pedalling from 10mph? What trike would you suggest?

I would like it if it had a 750 watt motor and went 28mph...There are simple ways to limit speeds on Ebikes for different riders, why not make a trike for any use case and use the electronics for individual use cases..

If you ride a trike at 28mph, just make sure you have really good medical insurance and know your blood type.
