I think it would be best to not include the VK4 in future comparisons. The original VK4 is no longer in production. The newer revisions have a completely different tuning which is objectively worse than the original. I'm sure you can see how this could be deceiving for the unbeknownst.

The original VK4 was an amazing bargain. According to Crin they changed the tuning so the new ones aren't as good anymore. Good news is that the CCA CRA is a pretty good IEM for only about $15 and is probably the new budget king.

@@why_tho_ it's still available in shopee. Some shops give you the option to choose from the new and old VK4's. If your keen with the VK4 you'll immediately notice the difference with the cables they use for the old to the new variant.

I have a brand new EDX Pro. This is literally the first KZbin video I'm watching with it. I listened to some music on my way home from picking it up. I recognized its sound signature immediately as blind item 1. I got mine for $4 after a generous AliExpress discount. It beats my JBL tune 110 hands down in volume and sound quality. The JBL died exactly one year after buying it. It was designed to fail. That's why I'm never buying JBL again! Thanks for the comparison. Hope it helps people to decide their next buy.

The VK4 is definitely the IEM that suits my ear. But unfortunately they changed it. I can't find shops that are selling the older model. And even if i do, its still a gamble with regards to its QC issues. Im currently enjoying the QKZ ZXN which probably sounds similar to the new vk4.

MOONDROP QUARKS - The most comfortable iem there is no comparison Good Bass ,clear Mids, slightly recessed highs but it's ok ..jus add spinfit cp145..it's mind-blowing actually 🔥

Hearing Z's demo.. it validated my interest on the Quarks... the blind Test i liked (B + D)...... D = Vk4 on reveal made me realize how Solid QKZ made that VK4 price/ perf.. Quarks would be a good addition as a counter to my Blon 03 / ZSN / Iris Buds...

Oh man vk4 is such a perfect iem for the price why would they changed it. Edx pro is my second fav, need a little more treble, MT1 is resolution sounds pretty bad, quarks is fine but the details just isn't there, finally edc is just bad, it sounds congested and feels like those 1/2 dollar earphone.

Why does VK4 has more detailed sounding than EDX Pro. And EDX Pro has a laidback sounded as well thus lack of details with some instruments and mids so awful.

For me the B and A have the best sounds the best that they feel in my ears. A the bass are a little bit out can be annoying and the highs doesn't sound good, the B doesn't having to much graves I like how they sound and have a lot of details very clear and good neutral feeling sound. C has a dirty sound and the E too it has a lot of metallic sound the C having better quality than the A in the graves and the mediums it sound metallic too not like the E but only a little bit less and I hate that scratchy sound.

Thanks zpolt! it's nice to see extremely cheap IEMs that are not fatiguing for my ears. TRN MT1 performs great for a 6 dollar tag. We sure need more soundtests. Keep up the good work! 👍

Owning all of them (well except the VK4 unfortunately) my fav so far is the EDX Pro, if you're into v-shapes that is. The Quarks are a good alternative if you don't want hooked earphones. Those two honestly are amazing for 10$ and i love their cables :D

I would watch out for quality control on the QKZ. Apparently there’s several revised models and you can tell somehow but I forgof. It would really help if you checked what ones you have and got back with us.

Yes, the QKZ VK4 had a silent revision. Crinacle confirmed it. The tuning has changed. Zpolt has the old VK4 as he owns one years ago, assuming the connector is not QDZ

so there are 3 types of vk4 mine is in the middle 1. og one have thick cable and at the end of it have bigger and clear plastic 2. ver 2 same like the og but the cable is slightly small and at the end the plastic is not clear and small to 3. new ver using new pin even if you managed to get the old one mostly you will get like mine the 2 ver which is the same like the first which is like the new video that he made 1.5 ver. i really hope i can find the og ones but its hard now since they may no longer produce it i think. btw sorry for my bad english

You need to make NiceHck DB3 vs DB1. I tell you DB1 is kind of an all rounder from NiceHck in the budget range. Maybe you can compare them to NRA, ZEX, DQ6, and CSN also

Get the JadeAudio jh3. 35 dollars and then goes up to 60. 3 drivers and best for drums and produced by fiio. Great iem. Better than all kz and iem below 50 bucks. Even better then tin t3.more thick the drums and bass. More realistic and better image

Disagree. Listening to it on my quarks. My favorite was D. Surprised by A with the EDX Pro too it wasn’t bad but B was still my second choice I love the quarks. They were surprisingly warm and not very treble happy in this demo. In real life I’d beg to say they sound more “neutral”. Best iem ever would be a combination of quarks tonality but with extension and clarity of the vk4. if these two had a baby, they’d be the best iems ever
