Tim, Doing the math real quick…. Chris is… 1) cruising over the ground at 159mph… statute miles vs. nautical miles, plus a bit of a head wind… measured using his GPS. 2) Burning 11.1 gph 3) Netting just over 14mpg 4) Not bad mileage compared to an ordinary Ford F-150 that usually cruises at 65mph. 5) Consider how well things will get on the return flight…. When he has a tailwind instead of the headwind… 6) If the pilot really wants to stretch his mpg numbers… he can slow things down to 90knots (approach speed). Nice work Chris!
