I think Hunters never gave Brightheart an apprentice because she has a very different warrior techniques from cats, who has two eyes. In previous books we could see how Brightpaw/Lostface had to learn new methods of fighting with Cloudtail, wich were very different from usual. So we can say that this methods will never fit for apprentice, who can see perfectly with his two eyes. That's why blind Jaypaw was given to Brightheart, but when he was taken away Brightheart could never have an apprentice, because later kittens were born with two uninjured eyes.
