Everyone would have been faster with a second run so they all should have rerun it!
@MadRam114 жыл бұрын
not true, how do you know TCs first run wasn't faster? The rules have always been if the timers malfunction you get a re-run. Its always talked about it in the drivers meeting. I have see a person have to re-run and DNF, so you can't just say they will be faster no matter what because thats not the truth
@AZBADBOYz4 жыл бұрын
@@MadRam11 So you're implying that the guy that ran a 156.250 couldn't have run a MUCH faster pass if the timer had failed on his run, potentially giving him the win? My point is, EVERY SINGLE PERSON could make a faster pass on their SECOND PASS so therefore, every single person should be given the opportunity if they desire to make a second run. That seems logical and fair to me but yes a pain in the ass for the event.
@MadRam114 жыл бұрын
I get where youre coming from but it is discussed in the drivers meeting. Just think if TC had screwed up and rolled on his 2nd run then he would have gotten a DNF. I have been involved with this sport since the beginning and I have seen more 2nd runs hurt drivers than help them.
@reddymon4 жыл бұрын
MadRam11 This is only an issue in hindsight. Had TC blown his second run it could be said he was cheated because his first run looked fast enough to win. The rules are established up front and everyone runs under the same rules. A clock malfunction is just a random event that no driver has any influence over. And it is just luck whether it hurts you or helps you. A second run may give you a slight edge but.... that’s racing.
@AZBADBOYz4 жыл бұрын
@@MadRam11 As an option maybe keep whichever run each person runs out of the two? Ideally of course would be a redundant timing system as a backup.
