God that slide sound is nice, so intense, never thought slide could be that intense until I heard Beefheart and want to learn like that so watching this is good. : -) By the way no he plays the part fine to me and is smooth. ,:] 0

Very close! There are a couple notes you are fingering that I believe were slide notes and the little part before the break is not slidden but picked. Other than that, spot on, and with a good manicure to boot.

I just want to say to say that although I know that working on the album (and other projects) was difficult, the people who appreciate it love it like nothing else. I love TMR and always will and nothing can be compared to it. It is something people will always remember.

Less than 1% of the world population has even heard of the Captain. In a hundred years (maybe more, maybe less) he will be recognized as the towering genius that he is, what with his painting, his music, his singing, his poetry, his very person. He's one of the most extraordinary artists of the 20th century.

GREAT JOB playing this, one of my favorite Trout Mask songs. Interestingly, it's probably the most conventional straight ahead rocker on the entire album. Even so, it's miles ahead of and apart from anything else going on in the late sixties.

Huge kudos and many thanks! I'm surprised that I've heard people cover other songs from Trout Mask Replica but never this one - it's one of the "grooviest" after all. The cap'n's voice can certainly cover up some of these intricacies of the instruments - extremely expressive just by themselves.

Well done. Do you use the slide on your middle finger to to make the fingering bits easier or is that your go to slide placement? I'm still partial to the pinky for that reason but I've been dabbling in the korn ring finger for additional vibrato control.
