I have “abandonment trauma” as well. My egotistical businessman father divorced my “stay at home” mother(back in the 70’s), and kicked her to the curb, knowing she had no money. I was 12, and never saw her again. Then she died in 1991. I’ve also had an abusive/neglectful stepmother. I don’t let the running away on his end, bother me. I understand how to handle abandonment trauma individuals now. I used to have the same issue. It was through someone showing me the way that I learned the right way. I hope this person finds someone that can be a rock for them, even if they come and go time and time again. It is very difficult to be that rock for someone that comes and goes like that.
