The question I always had with Moonraker that is left unanswered is the laser rifles, how did Drax get his hands on the same ones Q had being tested out in his lab? You notice it the most during the space battle and in the fights in the station towards the end

Q branch were testing the tech, but it probably wasn't proprietary. My guess would be some random third party came up with it and Q and Drax both implemented it for their own purposes. Possibly the US as well, although they could have been equipped by Q given the joint operation. Goldfinger got hold of a laser as well, albeit far removed from the ones here.
