That gives me an idea, you collect the Slurry in a bucket? I think that slurry is technically clay. So would be interesting if you try to form it into something and fire it.

I’m worried about the drain with all that stuff in it tbh 😂
@TinasArtPage

@@Ddalgiichigowell if you’re gonna collect it in the bucket anyway would be awesome to try to create a secondary product from the process!

@@Ddalgiichigo You are clearly not paying attention. The slurry doesn't go into a drain, it goes into a bucket. 😮‍💨

Petrified wood is always so fascinating to see, polished or rough. Great to see both before and after on these pieces!

Beautiful!! Love the honesty on your stages. Thanks for sharing. Great job!! I started a batch of these last week in what I call stage 0 (36 grit) and was able to move on to stage 1 after only one week 🎉

I always forget that I can start with 36 but it helps so much! I hope your pet wood is coming along nicely 🪵✨

Try skipping step one for more a natural woody look, still polishes well, just leaves a more of a woody textured look.

Once you grind off the fossilized bark and other texture, they just become rocks. Petrified Wood is better than just rocks.
@sbsnate2312

Those were my thoughts. Can it be considered petrified wood even after removing the texture?
