Nice job, good polish. The cabochon turned out quite well, especially when considering you did it with a Dremel. Indeed you are correct in calling the particular variety of iridescent sheen displayed by moonstone as adularescence, however, the sheen occurrent within precious opal that is commonly referred to as simply iridescence or fire by many, would technically be termed play-of-colour in a gemological context. Iridescence is generally an umbrella term for any spectral colour phenomena, subsequently even common opal or quartz may show iridescence when internal fractures split the light, this being quite different from the optical phenomena causing play-of-colour in precious opal, hence the distinction.
