Should have been protected as a heritage indigenous spot, it was a great place

As a child I thought Moore Street was the Black Market. Me Mammy took us to buy some sparklers. The big scary old woman pulled them from out of her knickers 😮

Tourist are afraid to visit Dublin with all the violence. Its a real shame .

Heartbreakingly, this observation is accurate - and correctly, this is what I have personally witnessed the last time I came home from Manchester - they say that Manchester is bad, but Dublin is far worse

Not just tourists but every other country in Ireland won't go up to the shithole .

It's more that people who go to Dublin want to see Irish culture, history, people etc, they don't want want to see diversity, you can get that anywhere

I’m originally from Rural Ireland, but my Granny was a Liberties Mot and I’ve lived in Manchester U.K. for 21 years - I feel so sorry for the Dealers of Moore St who are being forced out and replaced and on my first post-Covid visit back home in August 2022, I was horrified by what I saw - the Dealers of Moore St are central to the identity of the real Dublin that I remember from my childhood and it’s heartbreaking to witness the destruction of Dublin City Centre - we already see how Clery’s and Debenhams (Roches Stores) has been boarded up for months now and it leads me to wonder what will be next - Arnotts? Easons? - I was last home in October 2022 for my 52nd birthday and as soon as I stepped off the ferry from Holyhead, my heart sank when I got into the City Centre, they have totally destroyed Dublin - I dread to think what parts of Dublin will have been destroyed the next time I come home

I've lived in Manchester for 40 years. But I used to live in Bray. I got kitted out for my first holy communion in Clery's. Brown pinstripe suit and leather soled brogues. I was basically Bugsy Malone. (not the rapper 😊) You've brought back some priceless memories.😃 Thanks a million
