Already here in Texas since last one year. Honestly it's mixed feeling in different ways but mostly inclined towards good. Better opportunities nobody can deny that, better learning as a human for life, generous and kind ppl generally, and also the practice of Deen in better here without judgements, criticisms and fights. Communities are welcoming. Only thing missing here is the love and presence of your closed ones so I contemplate at times that all the good points of living here over their presence is too much of a price I am paying 💔 But one thing I am sure for now is that I haven't been this satisfied with myself ever over this one year. I was a full time doctor in Pakistan and here I am struggling to still get into residency but for some reason struggle here feels sweeter than that in Pakistan sadly :/ so I am grateful where I am and enjoying every bit of this process here :)

As someone who is first generation here in the USA, I often wonder what it would have been like to have grown up in Pakistan. My father came here in 1963 to study at University in CA. He spent a decade in the USA and then found it hard to readjust to life in Karachi. So he came right back to the USA with me as an infant and the rest of my siblings being born here. There were plenty of trips back to Karachi and we grew up with one foot in each culture. Now all theses years later, most of my cousins from Karachi who studied in America have settled here. I now have more family here in the USA vs Pakistan. Even my wife who was born and raised in Karachi, her family has also moved to CA and Australia. However I still feel a very strong connection to Pakistan and I hope to maybe live there one day.

Moroo, it's 9 am in DC, I woke up after a beautiful dream where I was bargaining with a shopkeeper for some snacks outside my school in my small town in Pakistan (Sahiwal, the city where I grew up). I have lived in several different places after that, currently in the US and I ask this question to myself almost every day. Kya main yahan rahna chahu ge? your video like all the other videos led to a myriad of questions in my head. yes, this world pushes you to bring the best professional version of yourself, it requires you to compete and prove yourself to these people. laikin yaar woh sense of belongingness missing he rahti hai. kya ap in ki kahani ka hisa ban saktay hai? may be ... laikin ap na toh apni kahani likhi he kahin aur hai kisi aur ka liye kisi aur zuban main kisi aur soch ka liye. TBH, with every day I spend here, with every experience I am grateful for every travel journey I make, the happiest thought is that these parts will remain a small excerpt of my life story just enough to shape the later parts of my life in the home that I left behind. I WILL GO BACK BABY!

Really love this engaging and thought provoking story. I am someone who has been migrating from one city to another city or from one country to another one all my life every 5 to 10 years. However, all these moves have not always been down to my own free will (parents making the decisions for me). I can relate to this story, but there are a few downsides like not having permanent roots or sense of belonging anywhere; struggling to make lasting friends, struggling to master a single language and not being patriotic to any single place. Bening able to migrate however, has some major advantages too, like a whole world of opportunities open up to you and it broadens your horizons (different way of thinking, appreciating other religions, cultures, etc.) Lucky (or perhaps privileged) are those who have nomad lifestyle jobs, meaning being able to work from anywhere while traveling. Keep up the good work.

If someon can afford Student college debts for their kids , then yeah they should move to US as it's more individualistic and a safe haven for people who value isolation and loneliness . US has earned the prestige to have the most costly medical services , towering student loan college debts almost 50 percent of population reported to be suffering from loneliness and consumes more natural resources than most of the countries combined , its medical institutions and government outperformed institutions of others nations , approximately 5,00,000 people died due to COVID . Truly a superpower and a model nation for the rest of the world . 😥 Unfortunately I cannot afford to live in US .

@@mustafaaa772 if you didn't get it , my comment was sarcastic . It is contrary to what everyone believes about US . I am fortunate enough to not be in US , sure their are more economic opportunities but that comes with a price of health , sleep , social, family and religious life all of the good things which I can't afford to barter with anything .

you nailed it bro people have no idea how debt-ridden society this is especially Medical bills and student loans is literally killing people mostly people go bankrupt if they have some medical problem arises I have insurance still I am scared to go and see a doctor because I know I have to spend a lot of out of pocket money even after having insurance Medical system is totally messed up for a middle class in USA.

Every one loves his/her country like a patriot. We are living in a country which was supposed to be live a beautiful life like stated in Quran ,but some how there are some culprits who are still dominant on us and causing frustrating lives. Leaving the country is not patriotism infact its selfishness, real patriotism is to fight the problems and make a change and grow . this country needs people like you .at the end some one should and will sacrifice for sake of peace like these countries.
