Thank you very much. This has been very helpful in helping me build my platform.

You did a great job on the platform. I really like your lantern lights and they look excellent in the dark. It is always amazing how complex all the wires become as you add lights and accessories. Looks stunning with the room lights off. If you use masking tape over the windows on the inside while you are building it it makes a nice diffused glow when done. Love the cat.

Again, superb, thank-you. Thanks, also, for the soldering video: more money spent. But, well, thanks to your tips. Also, re the Goods shed working: Chris Leigh' two volumes on GWR Country Stations have pictures showing where the rails and the road vehicles went: in just about every combination imaginable. I'm particularly drawn to the road/rail/goods etc interfaces. An excellent model is that of Pulborough by the lbscmodel group: tons of information in that model and my thanks to Doug's dad at Budget Model Railways for that. Whether I'll ever get my head around the diode, resistor, led, 12v supply stuff I don't know. My O and A level physics is 52-4 years' ago. Again, thanks and best! John

Hello and New Years greetings to Moorway...! I found your excellent videos today and am enjoying following your project. I caught your comment about Brian Lambert...excellent reading...! I have been using "The short circuit protection" with bulbs for many years doing electronics...Great Joy to see them in action again...! Regarding the two lanterns on this West station...May I suggest you bring the back one to the end of the Building... to show it off more...? It will be easy for you to create a lamp yourself for the rear illumination...led, resistor and all. It is a good idea to have the resistors under the layout; This way you can change the value if so wanted. Also this way... you plan ahead and prepare for decoding of the lights later... Well enough for now... I better Watch some more of your videos...perhaps you've already made changes...PS: Oh... More ideas: Why not put a male plug under the Building...? It would fix it to the platform...where a female plug can be fastened...A small plug like a connector on pcb boards will do... the current is tiny... no need for these huge screw terminals. Idea nr 2: Can you cut the floor off of the Building and fix it to the platform (velcro)...make a tiny edge for the house to attach to...? Keep on trackin'...Jakob.

With regard to the platform light orientation, I think the way you have them would be best, given the width of the platform. I doubt there would be a set rule about their position, other than the one that states that platform furniture be at least 6 feet from the edge of running lines.

Thanks Geoffrey - I was thinking along those lines.

Hi Moorway South, have recently found your video's of 1 - 10 describing your Set Up / Construction etc. of your spare room layout. I found them to be most helpful in that you have taken the time to simplify the various stage's which was most helpful, However, your Update's seem to stop at number 10 ad although I have found 3 extra vid's by clicking on Moorway South title I have not been able to find M.S. 11 and onwards although I did see that your original postings were over a year ago. Please can you advise me as to where to look next to continue your journey. Nowhere Man.

Do you plan to continue this series?
@geezenstacks8 жыл бұрын
Apologies to everyone! Yes, this series will continue. I have a turntable to install and point motor control panel to make etc., but unfortunately a change of job resulted in less time to devote to the railway.
