Just got back from my second moose hunt up there in AK. I’m in the process of getting the edited. Glad to see y’all are doing a series and not just a 10 min video of a 10 or so day hunt. I’ll be watching y’all’s entire hunt🤙

That bull had two brow tines and a bay point. Looked right at 50. Good pass. What was the spread on the dead bull with two brow tines?

The downed bull in this video was maybe. 47-48? Not positive. But our puddle pilot said It was maybe the largest body he picked up that fall, (around 75 bulls) It was visually much larger than the rest we seen. Length and weight werent close. We only had 1 pack that could barely hold a rear quarter and our others definitely fit. Was remarkable how much larger. We passed that bull primarily due to us not ethically knowing if we could handle the work of both. We watched 2 guys get crushed my alaska wardens for bad meat

That second bull is high 50's

Yes he was. Very close, we may have passed one larger not on purpose but we can’t tell from the footage

Nothing which was why we picked. We werent about to have to field judge haha

looks like Renfro's, me and a buddy hunted w/papa bear we went into bush on 9/18 and were pulled 23rd.

@@DIYHunter i killed really nice old mature 57" first hunting day and he shot like a 43" day 4, he was in a lot of pain the whole hunt and settled for small one after passing low 50's night before. They couldn't figure out what was wrong w/him before hunt but after returning think it's shingles.

@@DIYHunter ya haven't heard too many good things about them. I know they take on more hunters than they should. Papa bear does it right, they work their tails off and have everything very well coordinated. You aint gonna sit and wait a day or 2 with papa bear to go on your hunt or to come out like people do w/Renfro's.

@@ruffoutdoors8987 i dunno about any of that. Had an unreal experience. Every guy we spoke with had a riot. Met or saw probably 12-15 hunters at least in crossing

@Nouie this unit had no antler point restrictions. Any bull was a legal bull.

We were ecstatic. We didn’t even know what to do. We were stunned. It was 1800 pounds just laying there, never saw anything like It. We just sat for a bit not even talking in awe of the animal size
