Dude. I gotta say, Canada has inadvertently become my favorite country for anything under the black metal umbrella. Everything I find that I really enjoy, sho nuff, Canada. I really feel the energy coming from that regions music. These guys are sick. Fuckkn Ifernach, Prison Hell and Tomb Mold are what I been listening to the most recently.

I'm from Canada and a friend of mine from Aus use to joke about moose metal in a bm style some like 15 years ago, and it turns out someone else had the same idea. This definitely sounds a tonne like early Goatmoon and Ifernach.

Come on, track 2 is just Comfortably Numb with harsh vocals. It's the fact that it's not just the chords in the verse, he copied the chorus too. I keep expecting David Gilmour's guitar solo to come in at any minute. Even I try harder than this.

​​​​​@@michaelmisantrope2146 I believe he has some good material. I just also believe if you're putting out 15 albums a year, there are bound to be some duds scattered throughout. The sheer pace of his output also conflicts with refining songs, and possibly letting them organically evolve (though this is just a an artistic preference of my own). I would guess that he does not re-vist/revise or even rehearse a bulk of the songs he writes, which would probably lead to stronger material in the long run, and probably make him a better musician, if not at least songwriter. Not to mention his lack of effort into the artwork on a huge portion of his records, as many are just lifted paintings of other artists, or extremely basic graphic design. This I feel makes his records unnecessarily artistically lifeless. Sorry for the book!

Have to agree I can't stand oldfir debut artwork looks like shit and the latest ifernach album cover and of his other albums too. Basically most have awful covers but musically I reckon his stuff is pretty good compared to many other bands nowadays since it's like anyone can just released an album nowadays it seems 😂

I think in music, everyone « steals » from each other, or « borrows » a riff, a punch line, a song title for band name. What is done here sometimes, since more than half of cover arts were from pictures I took myself, is finding the already existing piece of art to kick inspiration in and create from it. Artists are always credited in the albums, I see mostly a celebration of the art, and giving a new life to it. Is it stealing? We can debate on that. Being a scam to me is when you say you actually done it by your hand and you discredit the artist. Now, for art share, I can surely give back a percentage of a 100 pressings…
