I read about these guys in a 2005 magazine article and they didn't have an album in America I could buy yet, but there some demos I downloaded. Fake Tales of San Fran and A Certain Romance. I was blown away at the pure energy and creativity. It was like a mix of Punk with Beatle melodies. Maybe it's melancholy, but I still hold this album as their best. I listened to this one over and over and over cause every song was fun and catchy and fun to sing along to

Alex had a certain songwriting style back on those first few albums, and they all played a part, but Helders drum's add something of a different class. My music taste isn't very expansive and I don't know much at all pre 2005 or so but I'd put Helders up there. Of all the bands I've listened to, he influences their overall sound so much without being obtrusive
