being Swedish and liking fishing, bushcraft, foraging, hunting... I have had a few Mora during the decades, they are lot of knife for the money.

Thanks for the video. I wasn't aware of that model. With a little looking, I found (and ordered) a carbon steel version. Nice little backup.

Steve Stephen I only discovered it myself about a month ago and happy to have it as a tool in my carving arsenal. Would you care to share where you found a carbon version? I hunted high and low and couldn’t find one anywhere.

Have you looked at the Mora Precision? If you haven't you should see it before you buy a new basic carver to cut up. (I had no idea it came in stainless,,,COOL!)

Woodcraft hamster I recommended highly the DMT diamond sharpeners for hard to sharpen steels looks like a fantastic knife how you get that on line I thought they was clamping down on mail order blades ? 👌💕🐺

Random Fox the proposed changes are still being consulted on so no change as yet unless individual details do so on their own for now. There has been a lot of feedback offered from the bushcraft and outdoor community as well as big names like Heinnie Haynes but I’m not convinced it will make any difference as the politicians are just looking for a way of making the “masses” think they are doing something to solve knife crime whereas anyone with half a brain will see this won’t stop criminals or youths getting hold of bladed implements. I seem to recall I got it from amazon though for how long we can all do that only time will tell.
Woodcraft Hamster that's interesting. Such a shame I'm pretty sure no criminal stabbing someone is a knife owner like us it's all kitchen knives. Knife owners are responsible imo

How does it compare to the mora precision, from a wood carving perspective?
@WoodcraftHamster5 жыл бұрын
adam diaz I haven’t found any noticeable difference in performance when carving. The only thing to note is that the handles are shaped slightly differently so will suit people’s hands differently. I find I prefer the basic as there is less handle around the blade to get in the way

@@WoodcraftHamster I just got the precision, I'm new to carving, and thanks for sharing.

I love Mora's, I have more than I can count haha and I love each one, but another company I have come to absolutely love is Marttiini out of Finland, the make some great knives, if you haven't heard of or used them before check them out if you get a chance, I would recommend the timberjack to start with, it's about the same size and dimensions as the Mora pro robust except the blade is a little longer than the robust. Love you channel. -Kyle

Chris Hale virtually all moras blades come in carbon steel it's the stainless steel varients that are produced less

Chris Hale I got the black about 2 weeks ago as a main bushcraft knife. It's great but a 2mm mora slices nicer
