The sound of the ride cymbal reminds me of a train crossing. Pretty cool.

A Guitar Center session with no guitars. Makes about as much sense as a screen door on a submarine! Plus, you couldn't hear David's bass, so it's basically a Tim Yeung solo session.
@damionchrist8 жыл бұрын
You must have really shitty speakers, because I can hear Dave's bass just fine!? Especially after he turns up his amp half way through Nevermore. You need a sub woofer or at the very least, a 12" speaker to hear proper bass sonic frequencies. If you're hearing this through laptop speakers, then of coarse you're not going to hear the bass! The video quality isn't outstanding either, but it's decent enough to hear bass with speakers other than a laptop, phone or tablet. I swear man, think your situation though before leaving stupid comments!?

For just bass and drums playing, I think it was pretty fucking bad ass. My recording does not come close to how awesome it was sitting in there watching it unfold live. I recorded it on a shitty digital camera, not even a nice camcorder and I was being sneaky about it because I was not sure if I was allowed to or not. All this bitching about it slays me. Those drums were sick, period

Want a suggestion, you the reader, looking to enjoy life and get something out of life ? DO NOT READ COMMENTS ON KZbin. They are so stupidly negative that it is laughable. Drum size? Bass virtuosity in a death metal or any metal band for that matter? WHO FUCKING CARES. Watch the video, enjoy, take something from it, don't, move on.

I have no idea why y'all are ragging on Dave. Sure, he isn't a soloist on the bass or anything virtuosic in nature, but without his and Tim's rhythm, there would be no foundation for the songs. It seems most of you are ignorant to how songs are structured and how everyone pitches in. Two guitarists don't make songs. A BAND does. I respect that y'all will have your individual opinions, but I WILL point out ignorance when it's to my attention.

The thing is not about bass and drums. It's about DAVE
@salottin8 жыл бұрын
At least for me. Because I don't think Dave is a bad bass player, when he wants to play it nicely. God of Emptiness is one hell of a hard song to play... At least for me
@dallasmamat179911 жыл бұрын
i think if David had not played in Morbid Angel,he would most certainly not been famous!...what i know is,if u have an endorsement deal with DEAN Guitars(for example)and u sell tons n tons of records,the musical-instrument company would offer to build for u a signature-series guitar/bass etc.David Vincent should be grateful to Trey n Pete for that!
@commentarywiseisbias Жыл бұрын
But then Morbid Angel's lyrics come from him and his voice is best in the genre. There are very few vocalists who can sound demonic and decipherable like him, and in a band that's extremely extreme. No one is complete without each other. Morbid Angel has a beautiful discography, both with Steve and David.

Hey Man...I`m not talking about morbid angel I`m talking about David Vincent. In fact he never wrote any riff for the band. He got his own signature bass. can you please explain me why?
@MrWrgh3 жыл бұрын
Because bass is a tool for musican, if you have are famous and skilled you somebody put your signature on screwdriver finally
@commentarywiseisbias Жыл бұрын
Why are you so disappointed? There are many guitarists who don't even have their signature models, Trey himself is one of those fellows who tours and records with different guitars and to this day hasn't got a signature model, another legend who doesn't have a signature model to his is name is Bill Steer, who laid foundation for melodic death metal and goregrind, so many great riffs to their names and still not a single signature model, these guys never cared and kept their options. David is famous, he has a persona of a great front man, his voice is very especial and distinct for an extreme metal band without growls which are most common in death metal.

Alex Webster does what a bass player has to do. He is just a vocalist who hits an open E string and the first and the third fret from time to time.
@L.argemike4 жыл бұрын
what are you talking about, david is quite the impressive bassist. He doesnt use a pick, and a lot of the early bass lines (altars-blessed) are pretty strenuous on the stamina and fretting front. You are talking out your ass bro

@Xplora2134 жыл бұрын
Critical of Dave Vincent yet Alex is your fav. Another comment that aged poorly. If Vincent wrote the music then his bass parts might be different. Trey doesn’t even let the drummer write their parts... 💡
@bassturbator66611 жыл бұрын
He is a horrible bass player, I wouldn`t even call him a bass player. He is a vocalist who plays some notes when he can. The same story with Tom Araya and Glenn Benton. Don`t get me wrong I like all of them for their Vocals but them are not bass players. Man You cant call yourself a bass player just because you wear a one. His bass skills are a joke.
@adamabramowitz912 жыл бұрын
Pete left, I've heard. didn't want to play cheesy techno/wannabe industrial. Claiming Morbid Angel is still "extreme", is unintentional hilarity. Unless, of course, baby vultures sound extreme.
