What a great concert. They did a terrific job with the song selection. I'm especially glad that "Blood on My Hands" was retained in the set even though "Covenant" was no longer the most recent album by this point.

Nice job Erik for holding it down on Sworn To The Black when Trey walked off with what appeared to be guitar issues. It baffles me that there wasn't a backup guitar ready to go. I think the only reason why they played GoE/WoS was because it meant Trey & Erik swapping to 7-strings.

Man, if there's one thing I've learned it's that people are super fickle with music. They always gotta be comparing it to other shit and looking for its faults instead of just putting it on blast, closing their eyes, and getting lost in the fuckin music. I love that album man...that album was the first of Morbid I ever heard and what got me into them back when I was a kid in the early 00s. I couldn't get enough of the sludgey heaviness of Where the Slime Live, or the brutal opening track with Dominate..then my mind being blown by the EVH inspired sounding solos from Tray. I'd just listen to tracks over and over to hear the solos haha. Love their other albums, but that one will always hold a special nostalgic spot for me.

So true, bro! The funny thing is, after they put out that piece of shit album, I saw them in concert and they didn't even play a single song from it. It was a small 30 min set during the Heavy Mtl festival a few years ago. Lotsa stuff from Altars, Blessed and Domination. Seemed to me like they knew they'd fucked up and won't do it again!
