They've come to bring us gift They've come to make us whole They've come to give us God Their gift of Heaven They've come to make us civil Their gifts as ransom Their God comes with a cost We must give up all For prayers in a foreign tongue To a foreign throne Erase our traditions Erase our way of being Erase our elder's teachings Erase, replace these ways Generations of wisdom In exchange for ransom Your God comes with a cost A cost to us all Prayers in a foreign tongue to A God unknown From demons, you will never see Prayers that will save your soul Blessed are the children We have come to save them all We came to cure disease that Has never made you ill We came to make you clean, To protect you from yourself They've come to bring us hope They've come to save our souls They've come to make us holy They've come to give us Heaven They've come to make us civil Just like them Their God comes with a cost And we must give up All of our traditions Erase our way of being Erase our elder's teachings Erase, replace these ways Generations of wisdom They have taken away Our culture has been erased Bring every child they blessed With the needle's mark Chop off every little arm Let the children bleed

@@tonihaukijarvi These days, yes. In morbid's early days, vincent was a great fit. But tucker certainly fits better now. His vocals are more tailor fit for morbid's current sound. My only complaint about steve is that his vocals are pretty one-dimensional. This works well in some bands, like immolation, but morbid angel is one of those bands where vocal variety is a huge plus. Vincent had vocal variety. Tucker does not. But tucker still fits the vibe better.

Mmmm. Yes. I approve. I have been thoroughly enjoying a few old metal bands that have been making music again in recent times but with updated KILLER production techniques that at the very least sound a lot nicer than things did in the 80s. Possessed blows me away with their Revelations Of Oblivion as well.

The title "pile of little arms, was from "Apocalypse NOW, when Marlon Brando, explains the horror the soldiers experirenced, after an entire village got their kids, vaccinated against Polio. As soon they left, ALL the vaccinated arms was chopped of by vietcong, Making "A pile of little arms" which made him digusted. 'But. Then he thought, if our enemies, without hate, with pure heart, was able to make a pile of 100s of childrens arms, w. No hate, the enemy was SO dedicated to win, that the US Army could NEVER win. The last 2 hours, was the infamous scenes, where ALL the actors, Even Francis Ford Coppola + entire filmcrew, was so fxcked up on LSD, as it was later revealed!! Epic movie!!

@@cosmicwakes6443 The same reason they would kill or blowup south vietnamese, because if you didn't want a unified vietnam under Ho Chi Minh you were in their way. @@cosmicwakes6443 > What I mean is.. When an enemy can cut off arms of their OWN kids, because the US troops, vaccinated the children. Not becauce of hate. But becauce they didnt want help from USA. The US Soldiers had superior military force. But they went to a war that they fought because they HAD to. Vietcong had a loss higher than 1mio. The US lost 55 thousands.. I hated the vietcongs, but there moral couldnt be broken.. It was horrible to see the last choppers leave Saigon, defeated. The people of North Vietnam was not soldiers. Maybe you're right w. the propaganda, but still. If USA had an invasion. I doubt they would cutt off childrdns arms, even though the enemy wanted to help against polio etc. Only just to send a message that "We dont need your help" !!!

@Commander Salamander - It's always been Trey's band, since day 1. Vincent barely wrote any of the music on previous albums. Why would he let Vincent take over his band for "Ilud"? Again, Trey writes almost all the music, anything he has against those albums is on him. I don't even think Vincent wrote any music for Domination. I don't know what you mean by resentment for decisions David made. What decisions?

@Commander Salamander - David was always the sole lyricist. So I don't what you mean by David came in at the last moments to write lyrics. I'm talking about writing the music anyway, which David has little credit on Morbid Angel albums. So I don't know how Vincent gets more blame for Illud Divinum Insanus than Trey does... People will probably hate me for this, but I actually like Formulas to the Flesh and Blessed are the Sick the most. I am not a fan of Death Metal, I like prog Death more and I like the versatility of Formulas and Bless, fast stuff, slow stuff, melodic metal parts, brutal parts in perfect balance. Those Azagtoth solos on Formulas are magical and eerie. That being said Altars and Covenant are solid and very good as well.

From what I've learned over the years God wants us to be born again in baptism and receive the holy ghost by the evidence of speaking in tongues because of man's sin in the garden. We are to deny this world and all its traditions and serve the Lord. This song speaks of that. I've also learned that Satan mimics God and comes as an angel of light. He has his followers speak in demonic tongues too. Satan is the "Morbid Angel" so to speak. There are powers on both sides, God and Satan. If you wanna go deeper, i think music is the influence and the gateway to whatever the music is putting out. Anybody have any thoughts on this subject??

Trey needs to return to the glory of which is BLESSED ARE THE SICK that fucking record is one of the all round classic death metal albums who produced this they need to go back to college I would of refused to pay the schmuck I know Trey likes to experiment with sounds but why fuck with something that was not broken I hope we get a new classic Morbid Angel record before it's to late banging from the UK .

No hi hat, very little cymbals and weird sounding when you can hear something..why do all the modern metal productions do this? It makes it sound bad imo.

I didn't like the previous album. But that album had (flawed) character. This album has no character at all. It's thoroughly dull. It's like Trey decided a Morbid Angel album until the previous was good enough. It isn't. This album takes no chances musically at all. Morbid Angel's best album in this regard is Blessed.
