After the first boss the second area is a nightmare with the sanity meter..renove or tone down the meter... Literally i heal ONCE and she becomes insane and my hole screen turns purple...and with the bad graphics the game is almost unplayable ..i cant see anything...who thought this is a good idea Im sorry to say this mechanic is bad...and i cant get a refund on switch😭

@@mixaliss616 Hey there, sorry for such a delayed answer! I was away last week :) Anyway, it sounds to me that you probably have the "Blessing of Insanity" active. That's basically the games "hard mode", and does exactly what you describe here. So change that to something else, and you'll probably have a bit easier time :)

With the array of FromSoftware game influences here, it almost needs its own sub genre, FromSoft-like perhaps, given the similarities to Sekiro with the Poise mechanic in combat, the hub area like in Dark Souls 3 and the weapon mods and leveling in Bloodborne. These are not criticisms at all, far from it, this is how great games are made, finding what you enjoy and implementing them in your own game is how the industry evolves. Can't wait to play and thank you to the developers for releasing a physical version. I hope the game does well and sees continued patch support and improvements where needed. 🎉

I dislike clicking sticks for targeting and other action you have to do in stressfull situations like combat. I just can't do it properly in those situations. I was so glad I could change the targeting in Dark Souls to another button.

I do as well thankfully you can remap I believe but I use Nyxi Joycon so have the back button that I map to clicks. Link in the description 😂

I got mine today, enjoying it, but man the brightness on it is really bad. It's weird, I tried putting it to it's lowest but there is just a bright smear over it. Il probably play it all on ps5 but I always buy switch physical versions of games when I can no matter what.

Bloodborne is the BEST Playstation game during the HD-era (PS3-PS5) by a large margin, for me then. So this looks pretty interesting. There're too many weak Soulsborne games on Switch, this may breaks that trend. Wonder if that saw weapon is as fun as Whirligig Saw in Bloodborne?

With the visuals looking like they do, I would have hoped the frame rate was a bit better. Actually from what it looks like, it seems as though there's an issue with the frame time (not the frame rate persay). So if indeed there is an issue with the frame time, fixing that and getting a smoother 30fps would be great. Otherwise, as it stands in its present state, the footage from this game starts to make my eyes hurt after a couple mins. Here's hoping a few patches can clean up the game a little more.

Looks so much better than that one you all covered a couple years ago (I think it was called Shattered?) and looks to be a decent addition to the Soulslikes on Switch. I'll probably go the Steam Deck route but glad it's decent!

It's crazy to me how they made such a good 2D game and now a full on 3D game right afterwards. Normally studios struggle with a jump like that so early on, but they nailed it. Definately recommend to play both games.

I do struggle with souls-like, having bought and sold the game with out getting out of the first dungeon/room/ house/castle. But the I adored Eldens Ring, absolutely massive, a game that kept on giving. So were do I sit, Glen? Mark?

I'll wait a little, but as it stands, it's on my watch list. But I do have some rules... -physical games need a manual and/or art book -physical price ≤ €30, preferably < 20 -digital below 10, preferably below 5 -I don't think frustration and punishment = fun, and fun is wat I play games for. That said, a good sale and patch and some patience solve most of those "issues",... But is the game FUN? I mean, is it one that proudly boasts you'll die a lot, trying to keep up with slow minor upgrades and dumb luck or "git gud"? I have no more patience for that... But these all LOOK so interesting and I WANT to like them... Just not waste my good mood on badly balanced games. Games should do the opposite, help release bad mood. This world is full enough of human evils that get my blood boiling and drain my soul, and are almost untouchable in how well they're organised to NOT function as promissed, but perfectly as planned. I don't need dystopian games for that, but I do like it when you can actually fight and wipe the floor with easily recognisable evil.
