Mordhau Longbow Gameplay, Tips and Build (full match)

The Mordhau Longbow gameplay video today features a full match of tips. I didn't get to stream Mordhau last night so to make it up to you I recorded a whole match at Grad where I did nothing but use the Longbow and provide tips and general concepts meant to improve your archery skills.
I showcase my Mordhau Longbow Build right at the beginning of the video.
My Mordhau Longbow tips last for the full match. But a quick rundown of some of my most common Longbow tips for beginners are:
• If you're shooting at an enemy and a friendly dueling, anticipate the enemy stepping backward and aim there. This way, you'll likely never hit your teammate because they can't instantly move behind the enemy. If you aim to anticipate the enemy moving forward, you risk hitting your teammate who may suddenly lunge forward and into the space you expected the enemy to be in.
• As an archer in Mordhau, your primary goal is to suppress other archers. Second to that, take down horses. If there are no archers or horses visible, then you can focus on enemy soldiers.
• Huntsman and Ranger are crucial to being a good archer. Remember, Huntsman only works if you hit the chest or head. It doesn't one-shot leg armor.

Man archers just remind me of sniper from tf2 as a couple of bad archers won't get much done and will team kill a lot but a good archer is one of the most annoying things to deal with constantly getting sniped by

Love the bow videos. 🎯 And yes, you used “nullify” correctly. 😉 You are correct, a portcullis is a gate. What you are referring to is a “parapet” and what you are shooting through is a “murder hole”.

The longer this game has been out the better the arches are getting, scary out there, I have similier build but take short sword heavier armour and friendly just in case, I like watching over my teams archers as people really gun for them, nice vid :D

Shortsword is the best side weapon for a longbow archer. Almoust 90% of the time i use my shortswort they miss at least one normal attack timing. The idea is to take advantage of it, since a majority of people wont even know if it's a dagger or a short sword, so they bug a bit if you choose the "seax" skin for the weapon.

Typically why I pick up shields on the ground. Not to use them like you'd think but to protect my bum from trigger happy friendly archers

I typically always have friendly on, so even if I do get hit by friendly fire, it's not the end of the world.

Yeah. Lol thanks. I basically got to level 100 with it. So now that I'm playing with swords and axes and stuff people see I'm like 130 and are like "why do you suck at that level" and I have to explain "well, I'm really like level 30 with melee weapons" lol

Only of I had games like these, half the time their entire team is either archer, horse back that focus on flanking, and JUST PEOPLE WHO FOCUS archers but will always die in doing so, its strange.

Big Brain Thought: If you have a good archer on your team, you can fight enemies in melee combat without having to worry about getting pelted by enemy archers.

First 30 hours of the game are shit but you should learn how to use melee because using crutch weapons this early won't help your skill much

You mean the recurve bow? I did a fire-arrow video a while back. I don't see much of a benefit to using the RB to the LB though.

@@EpicBrew I use quite successfully as a close range support, you can jump into the melee quite easily with it since yo ucan equip full T2 armor with ranger and huntsman and I use falchion with it and it's quite fun to play. Unlike other archers it's better to engage melee fighter than other archer with the hard drop of the recurve

enemies shouldn't be able to parry arrows, it's not easy to kill a guy in armor if he can also parry your arrow.

It's not like it's super easy to do. Plus, if I'm shooting straight at a guy who''s looking at me, I'm doing it wrong. I should be, generally, shooting at people who have no idea I'm about to shoot them.

I don't like having the little arrows all over my screen. I turn them on when I'm on a ballista or if there are lots of horses running around, so I can quickly tell friend from foe, but otherwise, it makes the UI too cluttered.
