Beginner Friendly Series | Castile | Emperor | Europa Universalis IV | 8

This series is intended to help new players get to grips with and understand Europa Universalis IV (EU4). The idea is that through watching someone more experienced go through the same processes that you will, it will help teach the game. As such, I play through this as normal, but take the time to go into more detail about what is happening, and why. For the Printing Press institution, it would make sense that any province that produces paper should have a small base percentage towards spread - there's a handful of them in China, Korea and Japan IIRC. Either that, or it should *already* be present in the Chinese tech countries, but they have a spread penalty

I think deving up a province increases institution because it's to simulate the idea that you're increasing the infrastructure and wealth using the most modern techniques.
