I had my third child at the age of 43. I am now 47. My biggest regret is that I tied my tubes. I had a lot of pressure from doctors and family members. Even other well-meaning Christians. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't regret my decision. I truly did not put my faith in God in that matter. I listened to the so-called experts. Now looking back, I realized that as I got closer to my due date on each of my pregnancies, the doctors wanted to know what plan of birth control was I planning to take going forward. They never even asked if I wanted more children. They just wanted to know how I was going to prevent getting pregnant again. I never realize how crazy that is coming from a doctor. I started as an older mom but I was obviously very fertile so why would they want to stop that? Looking back at the whole situation I feel so deceived. I let people around me convince me that there was something wrong with having more than a certain number of children. I can't totally blame them. I blame myself for not educating myself on the situation.

Kie mc my mom used to be part of a group called Blessed Arrows back in the day. They helped many women get their tubes reversed and they were sent to someone named Dr Perez in Mexico. My mom was one of his patients and is even listed as one of his success stories. If you're interested I can send a link to his website. She said he was a God send and would even repair other issues if he came across any during the reversal.

My tubes were burned in 2017 and I just had a tubal reversal in January and am currently 6 weeks pregnant with baby #5! The crazy part is, at my first OB appointment at 4 weeks, the nurse asked me about birth control plans after the baby is born! So glad my eyes have been opened and I can stand up for myself better this time around.

I'm 22, I have been married for a year and three months, and preparing to birth our first child. My husband and I are both Christian and wanted to marry young and start a family young. We trust the Lord will provide for us as he does for the birds...but it wasn't particularly easy with so many people around us telling us we were too young to marry and then after we got pregnant being told we had pretty much ruined our lives. It's a blessing I came across your KZbin channel. It has encouraged me. I also saw your blog and saw you had a freebirth. I have a midwife and plan on having a homebirth, which has also been looked down on, but I have my reasons for wanting to go this route. I want to thank you for being obedient to the Lord and talking about this topic. I agree with you and it's good to know I'm not the only one who believes these truths. God bless you and your family ❤

The did and when the pathology report came back, they advised there were no physical way I could have conceived. I believe then that was God way of telling me He was not through blessing me. Oh how I regreted it. Now 66 and a grandma. Thank you so much for sharing.

This is such a difficult topic because our society has pushed bc so much over many years. I had my first baby at age 20 and she was stillborn at 39 weeks. They did an emergency c-section because they thought they could save her. My 2nd was born via c-section because the hospital refused to do a VBAC (this was 18 years ago). I wanted ALL the babies after I got saved!! But, once again, no one would do a VBAC for me. With the confidence I now have, I definitely would've fought harder, but I was young and didn't know. Fast forward to now, I've had 7 c-sections (almost died after #3) and we prayed earnestly about what to do while pregnant with #7. God had been so good to allow my body to heal well after each one, but we knew my uterus couldn't take much more. I felt His peace 100% about getting my tunes tied. I didn't want to be done, but I felt peace. When they did my 7th section, they said it was a mess in there. My post op read like a horror story! I was so glad I made that decision to have my tubes tied. But, I'm sad that I cannot have more babies. However, shortly after 7th baby was born, God put foster care on our hearts (something I swore I'd never do). In our state you can't foster with 6 minors in your home. My oldest just turned 18, so we are now licensed foster parents 🙌. So, even though I had to close that window, I felt God was giving me that direction and now He has led us to foster care. I now advocate against c-sections whenever possible! Almost losing my life because of a bad surgery was reason enough, but limitation of babies is another. Side note, I'm the freak person who gets their period 6 weeks pp. The only time it came later was with my last, but the tubal may have effected that and I was bf'ing 2 babies around the clock...lol.

Thank you so much for sharing your story!! This is definitely an important aspect to modern childbearing - out broken maternity system. C sections are blessings when there are 100% necessary, but they’ve been so over performed and have definitely created situations in which families have to choose to be finished! I started my motherhood journey with a typical interventive hospital birth too - I pray that future generations will bring birth back into the home and reserve medical intervention for true emergencies only, so we can have more freedom to leave our wombs open! ❤️

Me and my boyfriend found a church that we LOVE! And then that fall we went to premarital counseling since we knew we would be getting married in the near future. I met now my best friend through that. She was one of the counselors there and we just instantly clicked. We may have 30years between us but she seriously is such a blessing. Anyways, I always had this mentality that the government was poisoning us and killing us off with medication and our “food” but after I met her she showed me what vitamins and minerals to take and what foods to avoid to become healthier. Now, I’ve started sourdough, growing my own little garden on my balcony, and becoming more traditional.

I'm 35 years old in a week & newly married (10 months) and expecting our first child the end of June. Really excited about being a mom but I am against BC. God said to be fruitful and multiply. I am looking forward to having 4+ babies as long as both me and all pregnancies/babies are safe and healthy. Trusting the Lord with this and believing that He will bless us with more children. Being a wife and mom has been the deepest desire of mine since I was young and I'll be homeschooling as well. Really excited about this. I want to say that you did such a great job at explaining your reason on not using BC and what the bible says. It was said in a very non-judgenental way which is really difficult to do when you're a Christian and being attacked about the bible. I find that most people who ask those questions about, "show me the EXACT verse" is feeling judged or HAS been judged in the past for their decisions or they are really wanting to find truth. This Christian walk is having that relationship with Christ and in that relationship, He reveals things to you.

Wow, I am so blown away, in a good way, by your insightful perspective! It's so very important to hear all-sides of issues, to have a good and healthy debate about issues that truly matter when it pertains to human life. Thank you so much for being courageous enough to bring these "triggering" topics to the front and center!!! As a female, I always felt like I was meant to have more than two children, but being in a narcissistic (him)/empath (me) marriage at the time, it was not my sole decision to bear or not to bear more children (within a faithfully vowed marriage). I feel that I karmically paid for "giving-in" to his no-more-children demands, since after a horrific, awful divorce, at 40-years old, I had to undergo a partial hysterectomy after I developed fallopian tube and ovary fibroids and cysts. I ignored a lot of red-flags in the early part of our dating relationship, but, at 28-years old, feeling my biological-clock ticking, I was so desperate to be a mother, and a stay-at-home Mom, which he, financially, was able to provide. But, my two sons and I paid dearly for my mistake when he started an affair and sued for a legal divorce. I have had painfully come to healing terms that without our relationship, however toxic and rocky it was, I would not currently have my two very precious sons in my life today (who at 16 and 18, clearly see through their father's manipulative tendencies - not from hearing me "bash" their father, as I have tried so ardently NOT to do, but mainly from their personal experience of his manipulation and dominance of control), but through his direct debasement of me, and my mothering-style. The precious man that I have been living with for the past nine years, unfortunately, rushed to get a vasectomy due to the fact that he and his ex-wife birthed an exceptional, high-functioning autistic girl; for reasons due to his own traumatic and abuse-witnessing childhood, he somehow (and falsely) believed, that he was genetically responsible for his daughter's development issues. So, when we started our relationship, him having a vasectomy and me having half of a reproductive system, "naturally" rendered us unable to bear any children together. To this day, I still believe that we could have had at least one amazing child together, but it obviously was not meant to be due to our unfortunate reproductive circumstances.

I adore this book! And I am grateful for God's providence in changing my heart on this topic. We exclusively practiced FAM during our marriage and got pregnant with my daughter 3 years in by 'accident' (I had never miscalculated except that ONE month and i attribute that to God's timing and am so grateful for it) and through becoming a mom I've seen God open my eyes to the broken view of my own control. If I proclaim God is a GOOD KING and sovereign over my life then wouldn't that extend to the number of kids we have? It wasn't until getting pregnant that I began to see how the reasons I wanted to control our family plan was purely out of selfish reasons, nothing to do with serving God better. Convicting and necessary, really appreciate these hard conversations!

Your channel came up in my feed a couple of days ago and I'm so glad it did! I love your content and your boldness to thoughtfully speak your heart and mind! I read Nancy Campbell's book about 20 years ago and looked into the history of BC and am so grateful that I did. Our third born was a nursling at the time and I was sad that she could have been the last baby. Because of Nancy's study and my desire to learn more and my eyes opening to the deception that has been accepted by our society, I had our sixth baby when I was 40. Although our families didn't understand our decision, they have loved each of our children. Our oldest is now 27 and our youngest is 12 and we are grateful for each of them. Unfortunately we lost a few along the way and our youngest is a rainbow baby. They have all hoped that we could have another, but our youngest was our last blessing. We also use traditional methods in cooking and caring for our health so I have thoroughly enjoyed your videos. Homesteading is a dream, but I've been working on the skills in the meantime. I'm looking forward to more of your content.

I am new to your channel, and I believe I have found a kindred spirit. My biggest regrets in life are related to this topic. Even as a Christian, I had a very conventional, modern attitude about contraception. I never had any of this information. Fortunately, the Lord changed my heart and I found out the truth. I have three daughter and gave them this information, and they are making better decisions than I did.

It is actually mentioned old testament that after the birth of a male child, you wait 40 days for relations and 80 days after for a female child. I've read in some medical literature that's where the obgyn's medical wait time after birth is typically 6 weeks.

Nancy Campbell was the one who started the quiverfull movement. So maybe that’s why some are asking about that. Just an observation. I have been following along on your IG stories and have been diving into the word on this topic and had a few come to Jesus moments. It’s hard being cleansed but just wanted to say thank you for being so open to sharing this. Our culture is so easily swayed the more I dive into things and unfortunately I was blind to a lot of it. Just grateful I have the tools and wisdom now to help my babies in the future with this area.

Hello! I do have some differences with Catholic teaching, mainly the original grievances Martin Luther had - but I would still attend a local Catholic Church if the Bible was being taught boldly and community was living out the faith! That just hasn’t been what I have seen in the Catholic parishes near me, so we go to a local Protestant church - but I pray for unity in all of Christs church! 🙏🏼

@@charlierodda4507So grateful you asked this question, I was looking for this comment! I also am Catholic, a convert from Protestantism in 2022 at the Easter Vigil. Praise God. @HopewellHeights I just have to say that it really doesn't make sense that you would agree with Luther's issues with Catholicism and still attend the Catholic Church. What does it mean to be teaching the Bible "boldly"? Three scriptures (minimum) are read at every mass and a homily (usually) expanding upon at least one of them is then given. What expectations do you hold of a church's community? Many Catholic churches maintain a Catholic school, as well as food pantries, the Knights of Columbus organization, multiple masses, adorations and confessions throughout the week, charity events and otherwise. Obviously location will play a big role in the types of Catholic churches offered in your area, but one of our main beliefs is that a Catholic Church is a representation of the one true Church. This video is excellent, but I can't help but notice that it is missing the core of the issue of why birth control is inherently wrong, which is fundamental to who we were created to be - the theology of the body. This is a series very popular in Catholicism. What is man vs. woman? What is sex for? This is where NFP is deemed acceptable by the Church, vasectomies are not, special exceptions are clarified, etc. Catholic Answers online goes into beautiful detail on these specific questions, and on KZbin, Trent Horn, Jimmy Akin, Pints with Aquinas and so many others are terrific resources. As a personal aside... the issue of why birth control isn't okay was what originally opened the door to Catholicism for me. The truths inside are so clear and beautiful and I simply long for you to see them. You're a beautiful person and I want to share with you the fullness of Christ, and henceforth the fullness of all these little details, in the Catholic Church. Protestants are Christian, this is true. But protesting the Church is what made them Protestant. There are truths in so many issues that are maintained in the Church that cannot be explained from the Bible alone. Which leads me to hint that there is an issue with Sola Scriptura... a whole new comment thread lol. Trent Horn is the man for that debate. Do check it out.

Thank you for sharing your faith in talking about this very sensitive topic. I 100% agree with all you have shared, and am blessed to have 3 children of my own! God is so good. I think a lot of the reason Christians get so worked up over this is because there is sin that has been overlooked in the church today. It really is as simple as the fruit of the spirit and trusting God for our every need. This goes beyond just having and raising children and into things like strong work ethic and how we view money and entertainment. I still have a long way to go in my walk with God, but I so appreciate other believers saying the hard truths we so need to hear!

Just wanted to share that I really appreciate this video! I admire your bravery and lack of care for what people say/think. I became a Christian in my mid-thirties around the time I had baby #3. Even in the process of becoming a Christian, I felt that it just made sense to let God be in charge of fertility and not try to control it. But every time I brought it up to any other Christian, they always had some explanation for allowing the control. I have to say that even after I became a Christian, I felt conflicted about this but maybe happy for the “out” I got from Christian peers, etc. because motherhood was hard. I never wanted to be done but having no control over it also scared me even though that’s what deep down made logical biblical sense. My husband was a little behind me in his journey to Christianity (but praise God he got there!) and was mainly concerned about my mental health with managing so many young babies and also dealing with some ppd, etc so after baby # 4 he got a vasectomy. I felt so conflicted about it but wanted to honor my husband who felt that our plate was too full and we had always gotten pregnant so easily( he later told me that it was mainly all about protecting me). Anyway, I was 38 when he got it. Around my 40th bday, he voiced a change of heart and I was still longing for more babies. We decided that he would get a reversal. The process was long with appointments and waiting periods and then it took 7 months to get pregnant after but we did! During that time, we did lots of research and read Be Fruitful and Multiply and also watched the documentaries about birth control (can’t reminder names right now). We decided that after the reversal, we would leave our family size up to God. I was 41 when I had our fifth baby in 2022. Now I’m 43 and praying for another one. (Had a miscarriage in June). I am encouraged in that decision when I hear people like you share (although it seems rare). I don’t have any friends who share the same conviction. I have to say that once you are in your 40s, I have found it hard being peri menopausal and postpartum at the same time.😂 hormones are all over the place. I do sometimes worry about how old I’ll be when I go into menopause (average is in your 50s!) and how old I would be when my younger children are older… but I go back to knowing that God is in control and bearing children is so much more than just about me. He has plans for each of their lives and what a privilege it is to bring them into the world! God bless you and your message! 💛

I had a miscarriage and he got one right after the miscarriage. He didn't want to see me go through what I went through losing our baby. But one thing I know I truly regret it. It was a choice he made and as his wife I respected it. But I absolutely hated that decision. For a long time looking back I had resentment towards him. I have been against birth control for a while now, but this has given me so much to think about. We’re expecting our third child and there’s been so much talk about if we will have more. Crazy how society has decided childbearing is something in our control instead of God’s.

Yessss God is so good!!!! I got chills quite a few times watching this, I almost didn't watch it even though I felt God wanted me to. I just found your vids and was like wow I really found her laundry and things you wish you had done before homesteading videos so useful, I don't want to see an anti biblical view on this because I know how I feel about it, what if it's the enemy trying to get me to watch this to waiver. Haha well it was totally the Holy Spirit pushing me to watch it. The Holy Spirit's really been putting it on my heart that by using condoms we were not trusting in Christ, so I talked to my husband and we were done. Since then we haven't been engaging in marital duties, I think we both have been wary and scared. Well God used my father in law to ask me when we're having more kids. I feel like lately the Holy Spirit has really been getting me to trust him more and more and thank God for that. Anyways, sorry this is so long, long story short, you helped me a bunch and I just wanna thank you for that. Even though we trust God will provide, it's so nice to hear that I'm not alone in my views, and it was just confirmation for me. So thank you, because even though it may have been an interesting video for you to do, it was totally confirmation from the Lord for me, so thank you so much.
