I feel like people stigmatize dupes but for me, I pause on large purchases that are trendy or when I feel the overconsumption mania setting in FOR ME. (It's something I struggle with LOL! I'm easily convinced to buy things I don't wear or use. They'll literally have the tags and I'll even forget I bought something and have 2 or 3 of them in my closet.) Love this video!

Agreed. I just sold my Speedy 35 kislux (I did keep the brown one), my Sofia Coppola perforated LV clutch, my blue Damier clutch I bought in Japan, and the By the Pool vanilla clutch. Kept an orange epi Alma. It feels great!!

I bought a knockoff Chanel brooch for $20 to compare materials etc. The real brooch costs $800 and is made of the exact same materials - brass, synthetic pearls, glass. The other one is a *hotdups* Backpack Replica for $40 - also used for comparison - I can't find any differences and still use it at the gym

What an interesting topic! I used to buy fake stuff in high school because I simply couldn't afford what I wanted. It's desirable, and if I can get what I want from a luxrul for a few dozen bucks, sure, why not?

Not gonna lie. I OWN the authentic in that same exact color and I STILL got it wrong! And I even use the bag every single day! Only goes to show how damn good these MOMCOCO are visually. Now guessing which is the fake by feeling them both in my hands is another story.

Thanks for your take on all the pros and cons of these bags. Always good to talk about that as there are often times one may not think of something that another person brings up. I have 4 of the le pliage xs. I have a lot of the smalls also and rarely use them. I’m not a bigger bag girl tho. The xs is great for travel as it packs flat. I see what you’re saying g about the flap. It’s a bit annoying maybe. But I dont button it. There’s a zipper so it’s not necessary. That makes it not really an issue for me. Ok now back to the video

I do have a Longchamp in the xs size and it’s perfect for travel. The crossbody strap is the best length and actually the leather flap, while cumbersome..it adds an extra layer of protection in my opinion 😊 I think you should give it a try.

Let's be honest. The luxury market is really not that expensive if you produce at cost price and remove the logo. The markup is about 80% of the actual price. But the fact is that you buy a *hotdups* for photos and show off your taste and make them think you are richer than you actually are, which is a very good thing

The buckle of the sweetheart CC *hotdups* is indistinguishable from the genuine one. What you see is something that does not exist. If a professional tells you that the CC is genuine, you will probably agree.

I think people discriminate against the dupes, but for me, I’ll pause when buying trendy bulk items or when I feel the over-consumption frenzy is taking its toll on me.
