Would rather they nuked combo damage post heatdash + stage gimmick and allow us to still do flashy combos without it costing our opponent as much as it does. Making combos so hyper-specific as to when and if something will happen is against the essence of Tekken's free-flowing feel that other fighting games don't capture to the same level.

While its fun! It is a problem. Saying that a grounded pickup should continue a combo or activate stage hazard doesn't even sound right. They're tweaking it because they're forcing random stage select for TWT. When Korea did a release tournament nobody picked that stage as it was basically banned.

@@tefyrapela2714 Stage hazards have been a thing since Tekken 4, and every game after, where they were arguably WAY worse. It just seems like a strange thing to complain about when they’ve been around for 20 years. Navigating around stages adds another layer to the poking, spacing, punishing and conversion game by introducing a greater level of spacial and situational awareness, and almost every other major 3D fighter has them too. There’s been plenty of time to adapt to how they function.

Okay since people seem to not get that the Lars change wasn't just a random buff, let me tell you why the devs had the right idea and buffed DEN 3 in the wrong way. DEN 3 pre patch was essentially Rage Art punishable on block. You are forced into stance and every option lost to Rage Art, so you just wouldn't do the move unless SEN 1 would kill through the Rage Art. The buff was just to make it so that SEN 1 could beat Rage Art and Lars didn't get checkmated on his own offense. DEN 3 is a new move they are really pushing as a signature move for the character, so it was weird to just have it become useless basically every round. Now the problem is that the buff they chose to solve their problem was the wrong one, and removed the counter play you had to the mix up that followed. Lars and the opponent both had a couple options to counter the other, and now it's basically just a 50/50. Every Lars main I've seen agrees this was unnecessary, and we're just hoping for a revert. But seeing the balancing so far, they might just leave it and nerf something else instead, or make it worse than it was before the buff, when it was a fine move.

Or "manually goes into SEN by pressing forward" like db2, forward that he already has that dont force you to SEN it

Yoshi one isn't a nerf, it's a fix of an unintended "feature". Getting basically killed for playing a big character against Yoshi for a 10 frame jab is MENTAL, people complained about Akuma getting almost death combos from a jab in T7, just saying.

You're seeing it from a skewed perspective. Eddy can also crouch under it, Victor too, both of them "tall boys", and I'm sure I'll come across other instances as well if I keep playing. There was a similar case in T7 where negan and geese could crouch under certain mids, like raven's sudden strike/rage drive. So I wonder when Namco will stop creating new moves that lose against the defensive action they're supposed to beat.

Games are too competitive now tbh. Back in the day we all had PS2 games with no patches and we all loved it. Now devs are afraid to make any more than 3-hit combo possible because the top 0,1% of players might find it too exploitative in tournaments, when about 80% of players aren't even gonna pull those things off consistently or know about them. Casuals don't care about this shit. They care the cool-looking yoshimitsu combo is gone now. Casuals mash buttons and have fun and that's most of the playerbase. None of my friends play online, we just duke it out against each other and if no patch happened at all, we wouldn't even notice. I'd almost rather games have a choice between "casual" and "competitive" mode where the casual mode just works as originally intended, all the crazy combos are possible and the competitive one is the one that gets constantly finetuned and nerfed.

I still play it sometimes. It was great. I can't do the broken shit (at least not in a match) so to me it's just a regular ol' game with a hilarious troll if I can pull any of the broken stuff once in a blue moon. At least with my friends, we don't get annoyed when someone pulls off something broken with steve or whoever else, it's rare, so it's actually a hype moment. Also, fighting game community in general seem to be pretty sore losers, you don't have to win to have fun.

I think that the floor break removal on some moves isnt that big of a deal, since theres literally three places in the whole game where you can do it. Honestly, I'm a Yoshi main and I approve the nerf. That jab into flash felt like an exploit more than a combo tbh, same for the backwards flash that hit anyway due to the extreme hitbox and even wall breaked. Yoshi has the tools to reset after each combo too, so the damage potential is still there, just not as lame

Oh no, having a low unblockable launcher and the ability to negate your opponent's turn every single time no matter how many plus frames they have by either running away or straight up launch them with a fast parry isn't enough? Truly the most dead character in the game.

@@scorpioigor man every character in this game is strong, but not every character recieves a nerf with EVERY patch. have you ever fight a Dragunov, or Azucena? Do you really think that all that nerfs necessary? Also all the good shit yoshi has in this game (unblockable low launcher, flash, spin) are worse then it was in t7, and he was never considered high tier in t7.
