Most of these trades are unlikely because they want too many assets and have colorado increasing cap. They cannot afford cap increase, and they are clearly looking toward the future with the mikko trade. They may use the assets to get more retention, but likely they try to balance salary coming and going

necas doesn't make much sense to me. hes right handed to start and normally scores a lot of his goals from where mackinnon sits at the top of the circle. if he was left handed he would completely replace rantanen with no problems but from the first 2 games i've watched he looks like he doesn't have a place on the ice he feels comfortable yet.

I think my Wild should move Ek for Miller and see if we can get a deal on Boeser. Maybe send Trenin/Hartman/Foligno in the deal to balance salaries. Yes Trenin has no Clauses to protect him like Hartman and Foligno do. Miller is an all around better player than Ek even tho we love Ekker

Necas and mackinnon shouldnt play together , they are both play drivers they need there own lines , rantanen was good with mack cus rants cant skate worth a shit , necas is faster then mackinnon and is best when he is carrying the puck amd creating , nischuskin to play 1st line with mack , Necas will turn middlestat into a 25plus goal scorer and necas can drive that line

If Avs don't make another move they are beyond cooked they buried🗻alive! I get the fact the Avs didn't have the money to Pay Rantanen but they could have cut costs in other areas instead of just giving up on a top 5 to 10 Superstar in the league. Doesn't look like they exhausted all possibilities to keep him. Avs got fleeced in this deal I don't care what anyone says they had the nbest player & now they lost him for Necas who isn't close to the level of a Rantanen. Avs have already patchwork goalies not a proven # 1 now they lose Rantanen they are fools. They could have cut costs elsewhere in order to have kept him. The Avs better be looking into JT. Miller or Brock Nelson or Ryan O'Reilly. Necas isn't taking them anywhere!!

Both Necas and Drury produced in the Ranger game... They probably made a bigger impact than Mikko would have by himself... Avalanche problem is their D and Mikko didn't help at all with this... You're right about them needing to do another beneficial trad for them to feel better about them winning a cup, but I think this shakeup is for the best
